  • Quote: Hi Biggirl86-

I love this basic salad dressing:

whisk together 1 Tablespoon Dijon Mustard (0/0/0) and 3 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar until blended. Slowly add in 2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil, and salt and pepper to taste.

I make this at the beginning of the week, and then use it in 1 Tablespoon doses, which ends up being 1 tsp oil per serving.

Try it- you might like it!

    Thank you very much!
  • Just too throw in my 2 cents, I very rarely eat my lettuce, I am probably the worst about it on program, I think the main benefit comes from being more "regular."
Luckily only in this case that is, ever since I had my gall bladder out I have had the opposite side effect of the big "C" for the past 2 years, so I have actually found IP to make me more normal, so it kind of works for me lol.
Like I said I am actually kind of lucky this time around.
  • Quote: Hello. I am now almost finished with my 14th week on IP. I started IP on August 2nd. It's been a wonderful roller coaster ride... I think that Wuv and I would both agree. But don't look at it as 100 lbs. Take it 5or 10 at a time... Set many mini goals for your self. And keep at it... And you will see the same results!!
JellyMae is exactly right, don't think of it as 100lbs, just take it 5-10lbs at a time. You will see a difference. Some weeks you will have big loses sometimes you will have small or none at all. It all works out in the long run. Never thought I would say that I have 93lbs gone in 27 weeks!
  • Thanks Jelly & Wuv!!!!

Meant2b....we are all in this together....YOU WILL MAKE IT!!
  • I personally like "crunchy" food. So, I find I will eat just hearts of romaine sometimes with a little sea salt on them. Lettuce is great in place of bread for sandwiches. I'm finding that I enjoy foods that I wasn't so fond of before. Maybe the tastebuds are waking up. You may find the same happening to you. Have you tried a "chop chop" type salad where you chop the lettuce up very tiny and add other things to it. I find it totally changes the taste of the salad as the flavors combine together. I do sympathize - I don't eat meat, and if I had to eat it, I would be having a hard time too.

Hearts of Romaine are good but most of the nutrition is in the outer leaves, so don't through them away, OK?
  • Thanks - yes, I definitely use the outer leaves for just my "regular" type salads and wraps. It's the one lettuce that I routinely use for salads.
