Love these suggestions. Evenings, afternoons and nights are horrible for me. That is when I eat eat eat and that is a big reason I am not loosing an ounce of weight. What to do with that time or how to not do this behavior. Help.

Redirecting my thoughts. Like right now, I'm dying for some chocolate, but I already had my restricted. Going to head downstairs and do some sewing with a HUGE cup of ice water!

Distract myself in any way possible - Cleaning house usually works. If all else fails, though, and I feel myself wavering, I strip down to my undies and look at myself in the mirror. Definitely kills that urge to eat :)

I was going to cheat one day and actually had it planned in my head. I was convinced to cheat when the scale didn't move. Then I decided to try on some jeans I hadn't wore in a long time. Perfect fit. :-). My cheat day was canceled and in the next two days the scale dropped 4lbs. :-). Thats my motivation

I've done the hot tea, water, pickles, and chewing gum. Having jello on hand for a 'free' snack if I need it after dinner is also useful for me. Also, I find it helps me stay on target to read lots of books that are pertinent to my dieting efforts. I'm re-reading Dr. Tran's book at present. Also have re-read 'Why We Get Fat' by Gary Taubes, and 'Wheat Belly', etc. Plus several others. The info motivates me and helps keep me focused.
