Default Restarting today after 3 months on Prednisone

Hi,
After losing 44 pounds las year on IP and getting in to maintenance, I gained 15 pounds after needing to be placed on a high dose of steroid due to lung and skin issues. All is well now, and I have my weigh in and measure in a few hours. Has anyone bounced back on IP after being on steroids? I am grateful to be well, and I know I could have gained a lot more.

Thanks,
Midgie.

Hi Midgiemoon,

Welcome back! Glad that you are feeling better. You did great on IP the first time, I am sure that you will be back at goal in no time at all.

Welcome back! I am starting reboot today also. I lost 31 lbs last year and have gained back 16. I have been trying for months to get back on the program but today is finally the day. I wish you the best!

Hi midgiemoon

I took prednisone for about a month for back pain. Completely stalled me.
Took a few weeks for it all to get out of my system and start losing again.

Sorry to hear about your health problems. Hope they're behind you. You already know how to get the weight off.

Welcome back.

Thanks, everyone! I went in for my weigh in and basically restarted all over, with a new coach ( i think I love her!) and some good conseling. My weight was only up 10 pounds, so I am relatively happy about that, too. I am determined to be a success story again

I hope all of you are well! I miss my August 2013 Starters gang

Much love to all!
Midgie

Midgiemoon, you are welcome to check out October Newbies. We may not be your starting group but we have been doing this for a while. There is a combo of Phase1 and maintainers on Newbies.

Midgie!

I feel your pain. Unfortunately prednisone jump started my weight gain years ago. I was always pretty thin and after my asthma got really bad and I also have spells of idiopathic urticaria (random hive breakouts), they put my on a regular prednisone regimen for awhile and the weight started pilling on. Then with bad eating habits I got where I am now. If the prednisone is out of your system and you stick with this program you'll do great! I hope your breathing and skin problems are better! And always know you're not alone!

Midgie,

I am glad that you are well now. I have been on predisone a few times in the past due to bronchits and ++asthma, it can mess up the weight for sure and increase swelling.
Glad you "love" your new coach and you are getting right back on the plan. You well get it off in no time.
Best of luck and more importantly, glad that you are well.

Default Restarting too

After a busy summer, and not phasing off correctly I am restarting too. I regained 14 pounds from my lowest. My goal is 140 and plan to make it and phase off correctly this time! Good luck with your restart. We know this plan works!
