July Challenge

Since I've browsed without finding anything, I thought I'd see who was up for a July Challenge..
For myself I'm setting the bar kind of low, 10 lbs.. I've got my anniversary July 9th, and a week long vacation mid July.. I'm committing myself to staying 100% protocol, as I can make drinks that seem like cheats, but stay true to program and I can definatley eat protocol friendly foods for all my meals!

Who's willing to join me??

ItsAboutTime 06-26-2011 05:09 PM

I would like to join although I'm not doing IP really. I'm doing it without doing it if that makes sense. :) I'd like to lose 15 pounds in July.

jordanna 06-26-2011 05:23 PM

I'd like to lose 15 lbs in July so I'll join the challenge :)

texan kay 06-26-2011 06:03 PM

Count me in.
I would like to take up this challenge and lose the lucky thirteen pounds, counting the days from tomorrow to July 31. That comes out to be fully five weeks. Even though I have two weeks of vacation during the duration of this challenge, I will stay true to the Protocol.
Thirteen pounds lighter by July 31!

Welcome to the challenge!! My week of vacation scares me!! We will be at the lake, so lots of grilling and snacks will be around.. Plus I have no internet at the lake place, so I won't have my 3 fat chicks family for daily support!!! UGH!! Wishing you luck!!

jennydoodle 06-26-2011 06:47 PM

I would like to join in. My goal is to be out of the 150's by the end of July. It will definitely be a challenge as we will be having company and I will be doing some traveling. But I am going to stay OP and work on getting to 149.9 by July 31.

So what is involved? What do we have to do?

texan kay 06-26-2011 06:52 PM

We will be in the "zone"!!

Lots of peaceful water and no internet sound like a perfect set-up for the paradise within. I hope you enter the zone of peace.

Mine involves lots of flying and driving. I only hope that I keep my sanity throughout the ons and offs, ins and outs.

Anyway, let's start it with a high five and end it with another. :carrot:

Gika 06-26-2011 06:56 PM

I would love to join as well.
I've only had one weigh in, which I know is usually the best, so I"m not really sure how my body will respond from this point forward, but ideally I would like to be 155 by the end of July.

As jennydoodle asked, what exacty is involved?

texan kay 06-26-2011 07:00 PM

Secretly in admiration of your approach

I know you will make it. I have been reading your posts, admiring how methodical and positive your approach has been.

I will be 163 pounds by July 31!! That puts my BMI just below "obese."
July shall see my exodus from "obese."

By the way, what is the prize of this challenge? :dizzy:

Yeah, kinda. I am not buying online or anything I'm using Atkins protein products with IP's plan.

Ideally, a ticker or weekly posts with your weigh in losses. However you want to track it though! :carrot:

If I may, I've found researching the alternative drinks and products that Atkins are much higher in nutritional values than IP.. EAS advantage drinks are a good match for alternative drinks and Lindora, Nashua Nutrition as well as new life style diet all have comparable values! But either way, I wish you luck!!!

I have heard that before. I think since that's what my friend used and it worked well for her, I will stick with the Atkins ones but if I stall I will surely look into others.

Kristin135 06-26-2011 08:33 PM

Hello,

I would like to join the July challenge.

I would like to lose 15 pounds.

I am restarting the program. I lost weight with it successfully last summer, but started working nights and wasn't prepared for that.

The IP program works great.

Shanelle 06-26-2011 10:33 PM

Hi there,
I'd like to join the challenge:) My goal is 10 pounds by the end of July:)

Reenabeana 06-27-2011 11:02 AM

I'm in!! I would like to lose 15 pounds by the end of July. Good luck everyone!

Losingtime 06-27-2011 12:16 PM

I"m in too! Also want to lose 15 pounds, that seems to be my average every month and I'd like to keep that up :)
Fortunately...or unfortunately for me the month of July will be busy with 5 day a week practicums so not much time for socializing and food challenges. It seems the less I have to do the more I'm tempted by things...so busy is good :) Although of course I'm still jealous of all you who are enjoying the summer....not like we are having much of one in my area of the world :(

Watkat 06-27-2011 12:26 PM

I am in. I would like to lose 15 pounds in July.

TinaCleg 06-27-2011 12:30 PM

Count me in!

I love these challenges. :) They help me stay accountable.

I WILL be 164 by July 31st.

165 is the lowest weight I ever remember being, and it was when I started high school. So hitting 164 will be special. :)

THB 06-27-2011 09:34 PM

I am in for the july challenge. Hopefully I can keep up the losses.

2RIDEROLLERCOAST 06-27-2011 10:04 PM

I am in, lose 15lbs plus what I gained this week for a total of 19lbs

driveshorses 06-28-2011 05:28 AM

I'm totally in! Another one who wants to get rid of 15lbs in July. I just had my second weigh in and am down 13lbs by her scale. 15lbs by mine, and weighing in the morning.

sandyh50 06-28-2011 09:53 AM

I'm in for the July Challenge! I lost 8 pounds at my first weigh in yesterday so I am pumped and ready to go for July. Will we weigh on our own scales on Fri., July 1st and use that number? Then weigh the last day of July? I don't go back to my IP clinic until July 5th to be weighed, I guess I could use that number.

You will make it. My goal is 163 (I am a bit on the short side). July shall see my exodus from "obese."
Have a good losing day, Jessica and everyone!

I was just planning on using the numbers from my scale at home.

want to be me again 06-28-2011 01:30 PM

I'm in too!! :yay:

I'm starting my fourth week on IP and have been doing fairly good so far. I've lost about 16 pounds. I've been sticking to the protocol really well for the most part, with a couple 'little' cheats here and there that make me afraid if I don't STOP even if they seem minor, they will add up and sabotage my weight loss!! :( :nono: So this July challenge is perfect for me to stay on track 100%! :cheer2:

My husband and I's anniversary is in August and we have a weekend trip planned. I'm fully planning to stay on track that weekend. It would be fabulous to keep averaging at least four pounds per week through my second month (July) and lose at least 28 pounds by our trip (it's in 7 weeks)!

...I had to look at my calendar twice.. after not being able to lose weight on ANYthing else for the last 15 years, 28 pounds seemed like too much! I hope I continue to average four pounds a week!!!!!

wuv2bloved 06-28-2011 01:42 PM

I want to lose 15-20lbs by July 22nd. I will be graduating from college and walking across the stage...BIG ACCOMPLISHMENT for me!

Congratulations!!! Graduating is such a huge accomplishment. :) What a perfect time to work on yourself, time to start fresh.
...or I would assume. I am in school now and it feels like I will NEVER graduate. lol
