WI today
Had my first WI today....
Good-bye to 5.4 lbs! Would have loved to see more than that, but am thrilled by the results!:carrot: |
Good morning, everybody!
I am back from a week-long visit with family. We never thought that this visit will include a funeral: our dear father(in-law) had passed away just hours before we landed on Canada. We had to change our return tickets on top of the rental car and hotel arrangements. It will take a few days for us to recover from the trip. Rest in peace, father... For the past five days, I tried hard to avoid anything that has starch or sugar but it was hard with all the catered food to figure out what seasoning was in the food. And my IP food and supplements ran out in the mean time. I had to improvise IP diet as I went. My diet was probably closer to Atkins than IP. This morning, I weigh at 175.4. This reflects one pound of gain and a couple of pounds I could have dropped. So, I have a lot to catch up. Let me see how close I can get to my goal for July challenge, which is 163. Enjoy the weekend. |

Official WI: -1.8 putting me at 155.6. 5.8 pounds to go for me this month (hopefully!)

TexasKay, I am sorry for your loss. You must be exhausted after the trip. I do the same on trips..eat as low carb as possible. Hope you have a good losing week back on IP. 2 more days until the official WI. |

Jennydoodle- Congrats, you're so close to meeting the July goal! Ok, so I had WI # 4 and lost 1.4 smaller loss than I'd hoped for. In addition to finding something to relief "C" problems, I'll be closely looking at what I'm doing and tweaking things here and there.. hoping for a little bit of a better loss next week! Just bumping this to see if everyone is still keeping track. I'm not sure I'll make the 15 pounds this month but it won't be for lack of trying. I am at 9.4 so that would mean I have to lose 4.6 next week. Not totally out of the question I guess. I will weigh again on the last day of the month so I get every day in there and that might help me out a little. ;) How is everyone else doing?

Just returned from a trip..Looks like I am going to hit my goal of 168 for July. I will wait for my official WI on Monday. I am excited to be in the 60s again.

I hope everybody is getting closer to her point of pride. Personally, I had two setbacks (two weeks of self-justified atkins-leaning IP) but now I learned my lesson (bacon is not allowed!!). Much humbled, I am fully OP. I may not make 163 but I can be very close. I wish everybody the well-deserved success. On a different note, I really appreciate your kind condolences. They remind me how deeply sad my mother-in-law must feel and that makes me call her more often. Thank you. |
I haven't checked in in a couple weeks. A lot of us have had successes with some challenges along the way. I had WI #3 yesterday, and after a Sunday cheat, I lost 2.5 pounds which puts me at 11 pounds for the month and it's not over yet!! I set my goal for 10 pounds since I know I'm a slow loser. I'm very excited for this loss and I'm 5 pounds away from the 140's. I haven't been that since '97!! I hope everyone is having a fantastic OP weekend!! :carrot:

I am reporting my progress and result of July Challenge.
On July 1, I was 175.4. Today, August 1, I am 165.4. My original goal was 163. Initially, I thought 13 pounds would be piece of cake considering my height (5.2 1/2) and weight (175). Losing three pounds a week seemed definitely doable. Yet, for three weeks, I lost only three pounds all put together. There was a funeral and a summer vacation and I rationalized that if I am careful with carbs per se, a couple of strips of bacon a day would not kick me off ketosis. Sorely wrong was I. In sum, today I am 165.4 (BMI 30.4), a pound lighter than my 5'8'' hubby--a bittersweet NSV. All said and done, here I do declare: I am ready to start my August Challenge: 153! |
I made my July Challenge goal!!! :carrot: My goal was to be under 165 by August 1st, since 165 is the least I can ever remember weighing since I started caring what the scale said (so like 15). As of this morning's weigh in, I am 163.6!!! YAY! I love IP. :D

I made my goal as well. I wanted to lose 10 pounds and I lost 13.5! I love IP and am loving my new alternative foods!! Can't wait for the August Challenge :D

I didn't meet my goal, but I am still happy! I lost 10.4 lbs. My goal was 12 lbs, but I will definitely take what I lost!

I didn't make it either. I did make my goal to lose 15 the first month though so I'm happy about that. As for July, I lost 12.6 and was hoping for 15. Not too far off!
