IP alternatives order help

  • I am about to start IP alternatives and about to place an order. I have been on IP for 7 weeks and can't afford it anymore. Part of my confusion is what to order because I have yet to have any restricted items. My coach hasn't allowed this yet. I am ordering from Nashua nutrition and was thinking this would get me started:
    Breakfast: Oatmeal/Omelette
Lunch: premiere pure protein shake from Costco/ chicken noodle soup/mint hot chocolate/liquid drink grape or kiwi melon/veggies
    Dinner:meat/veggies
Snack: sour cream soy puffs/chocolate puffs/strawberry pudding/ caramel nut bar

Does this seem like a good balance or unrestricted/restricted items. Any other suggestions?
  • I think the rule of thumb is that anything with 10g of carbs or less is unrestricted and anything above that is restricted. (chilli, spagetti, many of the bars) Restricted items should only be eaten once a day. A few product have above 15 g and should only be twice a week at most.
  • I am using alternatives now and still losing---your plan looks good to me!
  • This is my typical day:

Breakfast: Premier Nutrition shake from Costco
Lunch: Mint Hot Chocolate or Jello and veggies
    Dinner: Meat and veggies
Snack: Hot Chocolate, Jello or a restricted if I'm really craving sweets.

I could have the Mint Hot Chocolate from Healthsmart three times a day! It's my absolute favorite!!!!
  • You haven't been allowed any restricteds and you're on week 7???? I know some coaches say no to it the first 2 weeks, but my coach has sold them to me from week 1 and I've consistently lost each week, pounds and inches.

It also looks like you're about 20 pounds from your goal weight. I think you can allow yourself some restricteds (just 1 a day of course )!

The IP oatmeal is restricted, whereas all the puddings are nonrestricted. If it's the same on NN, I'd recommend having the pudding for snack when you have the oatmeal in the morning, to avoid having 2 restricteds in 1 day.
  • The pancakes and oatmeal from protidiet are not restricted! How awesome is that? I ordered them last night with the rest of my order and am really excited for "real" breakfast. I got maple and brown sugar oatmeal, apples and cinnamon oatmeal, plain pancakes and blueberry pancakes. Seriously can't wait.

I swapped a box of non restricted packets for a box of restricteds yesterday and my WI and am otherwise all alternatives. The EAS shakes are pretty good. Especially the strawberry cream!
