Good Morning all! So I am to the point I am needing to buy vitamins....do you guys buy the Ideal Protein vitamins or do you use a different type??? I'm having a tough time swallowing $28 for a bottle of vitamins when they are much more reasonable at Walgreens or Kroger! Please help! Thanks everyone! I hope everyone has a great day!

Lauren

I use the IP vitamins. I was told they were mandatory as part of the plan and seeing as I see this as a short-term thing for me, I wanted to do it as much on protocol as possible. If it were longer term, I would certainly look for a better price on something similar.

Good morning all!! Starting my 2nd week of Phase 3 and doing okay!! I went out and bought a scale so that I can stay on top of any gains. According to my scale I am at 145. We will see what coach's scales says tomorrow. That would mean I have lost about 3 lbs since last week. Are you supposed to lose weight on Phase 3??

NSV, went with my husband clothes shopping. Tried on a pair of size 10 shorts and they look fab. From a 16 to a 10 in almost 4 months !!!! Very happy with IP!!!

Welcome to all the newcomers!! If you work the program it will work for you. Keep up all the hard work!!

Its the cutest location like out of Charles Dickens novel...its in a little plaza..
with several quaint shops...
I already have 8 customers waiting to start and the doors are not even open...
San Antonio is going to get thinner one person at a time...
Oh went to a wedding last weekend..it was the first time my family saw me..
It was really quite funny...a lot of mouths were open..made me laugh...I felt like a queen...in a beautiful blue dress...

JudoGirl... Since I live in San Antonio, I'd love to know where you will be located.

I do have drug emporium that has a lot of natural vitamins! I will go there today!

What about the other pills...are there cheaper options for those!!

I get almost all my supplements from Drug Emporium... the people who work there are so nice & helpful, so don't hesitate to ask questions... if they don't know the answer, they have a great data bank on their store computer...

BTW, I also get my DaVinci sugar-free syrups & all my Walden Farms products from Drug Emporium...

hugs

I have gotten my Walden Farms there as well. Just never thought about the other medications until now! I will be making a trip during lunch! Thanks for all the information!

Okay Everyone. I've been moaning and groaning for a couple of days now. it's going to end right now. This morning officially ended Week 3 and I got on the scale. I've lost exactly 10 pounds in 3 weeks. I'm very happy to be in the "double-digits" in losing.

Thank you all for your support. I also think this is my 20th day on these boards-- not sure though. I'll have to go and read the directions about what to do to find out and place my little markers if my days on here equal the magic number.

:cheer2: :cheer2:
One cheer for every 5 pounds lost!

I have my.... 4th weigh in today. Is it bad I can't remember what one this is?
Question as I'm gearing up for my final few weeks of college, which I KNOW will be nothing but food that I must avoid (luckily at this point, I'm strong enough that I don't WANT to blow it at a pizza buffet). Anyway, I'm rambling because that's what finals week does.... So what I'm trying to ask is... Does anyone know if we can have curry?

We sure can have curry! One of my favorite spices:)

Good morning all!

This is my first post but I have been "stalking" you all for weeks :)

I have completed 3 weeks of IP and have WI#3 today. So far I have lost 12.80lbs...not as much as I had hoped but still more than I ever would have lost in that amount of time on any other diet so I am happy with the loss, however, I have not lost even .2 of a lb since Thursday...getting very frustrated...I follow the program and drink over and above the amount of water every day...I think maybe I am "a little backed up"...I feel bloated and gassy for the first time on this diet although I was prone to these feelings before I started the diet. Before the last 5 days I always felt great (except the first 3 days...ugh) and now I just feel yucky! I sure hope it passes soon!

One thing I have noticed about this diet that I LOVE is my skin....I am prone to breakouts (even though I am almost 40!) and rarely have blemish free skin and I have not had a single blemish since I started this diet...even at the TOM when I ALWAYS have a few, not sure if is the diet or the supplements but I am loving it!

Hi Emily

Good luck with finals!!!! -- I know how stressful that can be ...oh and the food and care packages can send someone right to the edge if not over:) As for curry -- If you mean a dish at an Indian or Thai restaurant - watch out - typically those dishes are made with clarified butter or coconut milk (and lots of it), sometimes yogurt, lots of salt, occasionally a pinch or two of sugar, and veggies/beans(garbanzo)/cheese(paner) that are not allowed or are occasional-- Curry dishes tend to be high in fat and since IP is a low fat low carb diet you might be better off sticking to tandori chicken (at an Indian restaurant) or a steamed dish at a Thai restaurant. Since most Indian and Thai restaurants don't post the nutritional information, I would suggest doing a bit of research - look up the dish you like and see if you can find a recipe - if the recipe ingredient list looks bad for IP then maybe pick something else at the restaurant. If you mean curry the spice...as long as it doesn't have sugar or too much salt then that is perfectly IP - I use curry as a spice all the time. There was a thread on Indian food started last week - if you are thinking of cooking Indian food you might want to check there for recipes

I have actually had a few more pimples here and there since I started almost 5 weeks ago! I'm hoping it is because I just changed my BC but who knows! My breakouts are not noticable to most but I know they are there! :s:

Just wanted to say...I've been reading here lots and lots before I started the protocol; One thing I've noticed from either posts, or signature lines where they have their losses posted, that almost Everyone has a slowdown between 3-5 weeks. Some it was WI 3, some WI 4, and a few was WI 5- then after that low number they bounced right back up to the average they were losing if not more the week after. I think it's just a normal reaction to the diet, and the body is just adjusting. It will get right back into the program.
