    I am new to Ideal Protein and this site. I started IP on Friday April 15, 2011. My offical weigh in is Monday due to the holiday...but I weighed myself this morning (couldn't help it!) and I am down 11 pounds! I am so so excited and motivated now!! This diet is hard, strict, and I want to cheat cheat cheat...but I am so glad I weighed myself and saw the loss or else I think I would have cheated tomorrow (Easter dinner and yummy desserts!)
    Anyway, I find that I am still getting hungry around 2:30pm-ish. I usually snack on pickles or cucumbers and I am drinking water way more than what is expected. I am following the plan to the T. I had the headaches for the first 3 days, that is gone now thank goodness!!
    I wanted to ask if anyone could help with these questions:
    * How do I do a weight ticker and have it posted where I can see it and when I post reply's?
    * Any suggestions on foods and how to help with my inbetween meals hunger?

    congrats on the weight loss!! I just started as well and lost 11 the first week and six the next! stick with it and if you have a question its either been answered or someone will answer it onhere! good luck!

  • I'm new too. Just started the program on April 21. I can already tell a difference in my clothes and energy levels!
  • Today was my first day of not feeling hungry! I had to actually force myself to eat!! phew! So does this mean I am in Ketosis??
    I did well today, I had a half of a lemon sqaure... I wanted to eat all those yummy desserts..but didn't and I am so so proud of myself!!
    I am weighing in tomorrow, and hoping that my scale and IP coach's scale are the same! LOL Glad that everyone is enjoying the sucess

    You have lost 33 pounds so far (according to yout ticker)??!!! Thats amazing!! Your doing great! I guess everyone is different with not being hungry, maybe because i was busy today or maybe just because the plan is working?? who knows!!
  • 11 pounds thats awesome! I'm new to this site and I've been on IP 8 weeks as of this coming week. I lost 8 pounds the first week on day 6. I've lost 28 pounds as of my last weigh in... Its awesome! Its up and down for me, some days I'm full of energy and not hungry and others I'm grouchy tired and hungry. I dont cheat though, a few times I've had an extra IP drink (Cranberry blueberry drink mix because of the collagen content?) my coach says I can have an extra one of those a few times a week if I need to and it hasn't affected my weight loss.
  • Yesterday was my first day getting my shake in before bed. I usually wake up really hungry. Maybe that's why I only lost 6 pounds the first week.

    My coach says the evening snack is the most important! Don't skip it. Some of the more juice like drinks are easier to have at night if your not hungry.
  • Timing of Snack and what to have.
    I cannot start IP until the end of May so I am working on doing this on my own but I have to use up some diet foods I made for this week.

    The diet book calls for a snack between lunch and dinner, which I assumed was the shake. I see here that a shake is recommended after dinner? Does that mean the afternoon snack should be a pickle or something?

    I picked up my supplements at Whole Foods as well as Walden Farms dressing for my lettuce - bacon ranch and ceasar. The bacon ranch is really good.
  • I have my snack (3rd IP) After dinner, before 8pm. If I am hungry inbetween IP's I snack on pickles, cucumbers, celery..or have a cup of tea.
  • Thanks, I will try the shake in the evening and I just had a pickle. I was starving but its day one.
