I am on my sixth day of the ideal protein diet, (going for my first weigh in tomorrow) and I have had none of the symptoms that I was told that I might and fully expected to experience. I have not been exceedingly hungry, no fatigue, or constipation, and when I used a ketone stick this evening it said that I was in moderate ketosis. I am following the plan to the t, so why have I not felt bad? Has anybody else had the same experience? Should the ketone stick have been the very dark purple 6 days into the diet.
Day 6 here too, tomorrow I also weigh in. I have felt the same way. Only had one afternoon of being hungry, because I waited to have dinner. I just hope it continues this way.

Everyone is different. I had one day of being tired, no hunger, no headache and constipation didn't appear until week 7. So there you go!

My first time getting into ketosis was a breeze, some of us are just lucky I guess
Unless you're diabetic the dark purple isn't too big of an issue but you might not be getting quite enough water.

Great welcome to the group...its a great program...
Had my first weigh in tonight, lost 8.3 lbs! I know some of it was water weight and sugar bloat, but I'm completely stoked!! Makes me want to jump on the treadmill to hasten the process. My coach advised against it, said to wait a week or two.

Haha, good for you! 8.3 pounds, woohooo!!! Instead of hopping on the treadmill, put on your sneakers and go for a long walk outside. Walking is moderate enough to do on IP, and it helps me "hasten the process".

Great Job!!! I have been walking my dogs since starting 15 days ago, and it seems to help! Plus it wears them out!! Always a plus
