Yes, each item counts as one of your proteins. In phase 1 you'll have 1 for b.fast, 1 for lunch and 1 for snack. Some add an extra packet as their bodies adjust. Be sure you understand restricted vs. un-restricted. The soups, puddings, drinks, etc are UN-restricted and the bars, chips, puffs, crepes, etc are restricted (which means just 1 a day).
