New start for the 5th times

  • I started the IP diet a couples of weeks before xmas. I did good but was miserable for the first 4 days. After the 4th day I started to feel better but the headache persisted! X-mas party/dinner/cookie exchange/ wine tasting were all over the place! So I finally caved and promised myself to be totally back on the diet after new year ( which never happened) . It's like I don't have the courage or whatever it takes to start and stay online. I am a red wine drinker and on friday when I get home after a crazy week at work it is my treat. Now ( I mean on IP) I cannot have things that I like, but I want to do it. I have 30 pounds to lose and I cannot fail at that no more
As you can see I am getting pretty discourage and don't know how to pump myself back! To top it all off my husband just left a week ago to come back in 5 months because of work so busy and don't seem to go anywhere
Am I the only one that has to start again?
    Please give me a hand

Cornflake, I think you do have the courage. You have already decided which program to use, IP, which is a really good program. You have also decided that you cannot fail.
Failure can only take place if you give up, which you haven't done.
For some of us, myself included, doing the program doesn't go smoothly all the time. Not everyone loses all the weight at a steady rate in perfect succession.
However, even with starts and stops and feelings of frustration, the weight does come off. I am almost almost down 40 pounds, and without IP I never have been able to do it before.
Here is what I suggest. Start over the weekend, after your Friday night. Try to have several good IP days in a row, and be sure to drink all your water. Easier on the weekend if you don't have a lot of obligations outside the house. By the way, if you drink 1/2 ounce per pound of body weight it's quite helpful. Make sure you take the supplements. Let yourself sleep if you feel sleepy. Let your body's wisdom start the healing process.

Also take some time and start thinking about how much better you will feel about yourself when that 30 pounds is gone. What you will look like in your clothes. And how much better you will feel physically.

Come back often to the IP boards and let the community here encourage you. You are not the only one with this challenge, and having a challenge doesn't mean you can't succeed. Take it day by day, hour by hour if you have to.

But inside you also have to decide that this is for real. Take that feeling of not being able to fail, and turn it into a DECISION that you are going to succeed.

Good luck and let us know how you are doing. Most success in life takes place after many starts and stops, and this will be like that for you!
  • I second Crystal88
    come back here for inspiration.
I too LOVE my wine but you dont have to give it up forever and I found other alternatives.....flavored waters etc in a wine glass. i was not drinking the wine for the "buzz" so having something flavored in a wine glass made it feel the same. There is always an excuse to NOT start, holidays, superbowl, valentines day, easter......and the list goes on!
pull up your big girl panties and "get 'er done" "cowgirl up" whatever you need to say..........like nike just do it!
add more info...........where are you from? weights? etc
    It all helps
  • One day at a time. After you have a few WI's, your not going to want to get off track. Thats what keeps me going. I would have NEVER lost 20lbs in a month on my own. Trust me, it gets easier and easier.

the plus to you staying on track should be that your husband will come back to a new and improved wife (inside and out)!!!! keep your head up and stay up to date on the website. It helps.

    Good luck
