  • Bump! I would like to know if someone has seen the new protocol with more oz. of protein.
  • At my WI today, I asked about it and they all told me that they have recieved nothing stating the oz of meat and seafood were changing. I live in KS.
  • That is exactly what my coach said. That's why I want to know where some people on this thread got their info. I sent a message to Dr. Tran Tien's nd the IP websites but I haven't gotten any answers.
  • My coach said today that they have changed the diet so that you may have up to 7 to 8 oz of lean meat, fish stays the same at 7 oz, for your dinner protein. No less than 5 oz and no more than 8. Hope that helps!
  • Do you weight your lean meat before or after cooking? I have been weighing it AFTER but not sure if I'm doing the right thing.

That my dear is the million dollar question. it seems to vary by coach. Ask you coach or see if it says on your protocol sheet.
  • I always weigh it cooked and I have had great results with the program. Even on days when I had more than the allowed amount my weight loss continued. I know everyone is different, but it worked for me.
  • Yeah, I think weight meat AFTER it's cooked is what I'll keep doing. Vegies I will measure BEFORE cooking though. Have a wonderful weekend IP warriors!!!!!
  • Quote: It has in fact changed... I had this same conversation with my coach today.. all meat & fish servings are now 7/8 oz.
Just wondering if this is raw or cooked? Thanks! I saw my Dr. just yesterday and heard nothing about this? Glad I was just cruising around the different threads today and found this one!!! Thanks for all the info!

Never mind - just read previous posts - sorry about asking the same question - should have read a little further along first - just got so excited - I love my meat and seafood! ;0) Also realized I've been doing my veggies wrong - have been measuring them after they were cooked... chage effective for me today! ;0)
  • I personally measure before cooking... It appears to be the right portion sizes on my plate, but we all differ. After you cook the meat & weigh it you will be eating a bigger portion.... I did this experiment myself.
  • I know this was covered a bit while I was absent but, I don't see another new change and wonder if it was mentioned.

Are you all aware that green cabbage is now on the OK veggies list with red cabbage AND, all peppers are part of the regular use category. Red, yellow, and orange peppers are no longer on the occasional veggies list.

Fish and Meats (as mentioned) can now be had in portions between 5 and 8 ounces.

Just curious if others saw or heard this.
  • I'm fairly new to IP, but is this the .pdf you guys are looking for?
