Smile Question for those on Ideal Protein diet

Hi! I am starting IP on Monday....am just curious what all you get for you money each week, just the protein packets? Or do you get any of the other food??? Also, I have a family to feed while I`m doing this, so any ideas would be welcome. For the most part they`ll just eat what I eat, but would like to know how others do it. Thanks!

It's a little different depending on where you live. When I started I think it was about $330 the first time, but that included 2 weeks of protein packets, my supplements and a shaker.
Each week for about $90 (including tax) I get 3 x 7 protein packets. Sometimes I will pick up extras like Walden Farms dressing, BBQ sauce and chocolate sauce. That would be extra.
My husband and son fend for themselves for breakfast and lunch. For dinner they eat the same meat, veggies and salad that I am having, but often add pasta, potato, bread etc. They are eating more healthy now than they were as well!

I probably spend about $110 each week. $90 on packets and $10-20 on veggies, food, and condiments (I've tried a LOT of WF products). But then again, I'm just now running out of my first WF bottle.

My bf and I eat separate foods, but I've read that most people have great dinners they prepare for themselves and their families. Check the recipe threads for ideas or just make a different main course and add whatever veggies you're having in with their meal. Hopefully someone who actually has experience with this will give you a few suggestions. Good luck!

i spend about 90 dollars a week on my packets and then you have to by your veggies, salads, dressings, and meats. so i would say i am spending about 120 a week. thats not bad considering i use to spend about 250 a week on groceries. your dressings and seasonings last a while so your first week is going to be more expensive with having to by all that they you will see your bill go down for the next couple of weeks. good luck

Our initial start up here was a bit spendy for two, almost $800 which included all the supplements (additional supplements as well), 4 x 7 of packets in case we needed to do the extra packet and our start up of WF products.

Weekly costs avg the $80 to 90 depending on what we purchase, plus our cost for meat and veggies. We are using Costco which helps buying our meats in bulk as well as veggies. A months worth of meat and some of the veggies about $200. We are buying our seafood & fish at Yokes or Albertsons where they tend to have sale prices in the fresh fish section.

If we use our local markets to buy weekly veggies our costs would be higher per week than bulk at Costco.

Overall our weekly cost per person avg's about $150

I'm pretty much like the rest of the people. I'm spending about 90$ each week plus WF products. On the other hand, I'm spending a lot less on Tim's coffees, restaurant and other junk foods. For me it's worth it.
