Default Getting Bored with IP

I guess I am a little confused with this whole process, I am 5lbs under my goal weight and the guy I weigh in with tells me I have about 3 weeks to go!? I have been eating normal now for atleast 2 weeks, packets are one a day if any. I figured when I reached my goal I had only 2 weeks to go of maintaining and then I would be done. It has been about 3 weeks now and he tells me I have 3 weeks left. I am almost beginning to think he making me come back just so I buy the packets every week. What are you thoughts? Should I tell him I am done? or wait out the 3 weeks? I am getting burnt out on the diet and having to go weigh in all the time, I know what to do and what not to do so why do I have to continue going in? Do your clinics make you do this?

If you're at your goal and you've phased out (phase 1 - phase 2 - phase 3 - phase 4), I'm not sure why your coach would say you have 3 weeks left. Phase 4 is maintenance. IMHO, you're done.

What do you mean by "getting burnt out on the diet"?

Maybe they just want to track your weight loss for their records. In phase 4 you sure don't have to buy the packets. Can you negotiate going in every other week?

Or, just tell him you're not available. Remember you're paying him; he's neither the school principal nor the prison warden. You can say you're done, when you say you're done. Besides, what's he going to do, kick you out of the clinic and the program?

I guess I shouldnt say getting burnt out, I think I get more stressed out about my weigh-in's than anything. I feel like I would get frowned upon if I didnt lose that much in a week which I know I shouldn't worry about, I am just trying to be a perfectionist I guess! The guy I see did say that I am one of their best clients only because I am so strict with myself so I am guessing that is why they want to keep monitoring me?
Yesterday I went and weighed in and he finally put me to phase 3, he wasnt going to but I told him I would feel comfortable with moving on to the next phase so here I am moving on to the next stage which will take me 2 more weeks and then onto phase 4. I was really hoping to be done before Thanksgiving but I guess I can go a couple more weeks, weeks at this point weeks is better than months!

Yeah! You will be done by Thanksgiving ... which is 2 weeks from yesterday. Phase 4 is recommendations for the rest of your life, not something you do for a set period of time. Check the Phases sticky thread, people have scanned and posted their phase 4 sheets and guidelines.

It's funny how different we all are.

My clinic's plan includes a year of monthly weigh-ins in Phase Four, to help keep me accountable and make sure I don't slip back into my bad habits. It's all a part of the intial fee I paid. I am actually glad that this is part of the plan. I am much more likely to avoid the bad habits if I know I'm going to be weighed once a month. If left to my own, I'd probably just stop weighing myself. (that's how I got to 191 pounds before).

You've done great on the plan, and if this is stressful for you, then you shouldn't do it. You know what works for you! Good luck and congratulations on almost reaching your goal.
