Hey Kim,
I am a newbie as well and my name is also Kim. So, from one newbie to another

I have been searching around in these forums for a few hours now. Very useful advice.

I do have one question though, what is IP? Maybe it's something I should try.

Good luck and keep us updated!

Try using the WF dressings as a base and adding spices to suit your taste. They're not too bad that way. I really like the creamy bacon, french and thousand island. Mix a little low carb ketchup in with the thousand island and it makes a burger very tasty.

Hi KIm,I just started the Ideal protein diet today but I looked into it for a while before commiting to it. Its basically a very low carb diet that you can get from medical weight loss clinics. You eat select veggies, lean meat, and theres lots of meal replacement products to choose from. Check out Idealprotein.com.It has proven to be very successful. You can lose weight quickly but you have to follow the diet very strictly. You have to want to change your lifestyle and become healthy overall. Goodluck

Hi Everyone, I am new to IP. Today is day 2 and I am struggling a little. I know its worth it, but I am so-o-o tired. I cannot wait for the energy to kick in. This forum is so helpful! Every time I feel stressed, I get online and read about others experiences! I wish everyone luck and thank you for sharing your experiences!

Hi Kim,
I have only been on this diet for 4 week and have lost 17.5 lbs. I am so impressed by this plan. I have had no cravings at all. I really like the chicken and mushroom soups. I add brocolli and mushrooms to mine and they taste great!!! I didn't care for the puddings until I started to making them into shakes by adding 10oz of water and one of the WF syrups or dips, blended with ice and freezing for about 30 mins. They're so good it seems like a cheat!! Good luck to you on you're weight loss journey!!!

WELCOME TO THE IP EXPERIENCE AND THIS WONDERFUL FORUM!!!
The 1st couple of days can be a little intimidating but hang in there ... by the 4th day you should feel better. I started in April and lost 40lbs by the end of June, maintained during July as we were traveling but now am back on Phase 1, (my 2nd day) and I am going through the yukkies of getting back into ketosis; but I know in a couple of days I will feel soooo much better and get on with loosing my next 40 to 50 lbs!!!
SO.... take it one day at a time and make mini goals for yourself; I did 10 lb mini goals, not so intimidating!!! This forum is such a great source of information, support and encouragement...when you feel a bit down or want to cheat....take some time and come and read, it will get you through
