I was just wondering, especially from the "big losers", if they noticed that with the weight loss they have excess skin? I know that losing weight at an accelerated rate can make it hard for your body to keep up with tightening your skin... I just don't want to lose all my weight and still have rolls of skin... Kind of defeats the purpose!

Hey Susie...not sure if .4 shy of 40 lbs makes me a big looser or not...hehe. I have been working out with a trainer and am very happy that my skin is firming as I go. If I remember correct, a lot of people were happy that they did not have this problem so much as they had worried. Hopefully we'll get more feedback on here.

I'm afraid to work out because there's so much about is it good or isn't it good in regards to affecting your weight loss.. My plan is to wait until I have about 15-20 to go and then I'm going to start toning and strengthening muscles. I just want a flat stomach! LOL

that worried me too at first, but it really does start to tighten after a while. I've only lost 20lbs so far, but I have ALOT more to go. (I'm short and it was all in my tummy) My waist was almost 45in when i started and now i'm down to 35 and it's really starting to tighten. (it was saggy at first) Stretchmarks have lightened too, but they are still there. ugh.

Awesome!! Guess I don't have to worry so much!! And I guess a little extra skin is better than a lot of extra fat!

That's right Susie! My trainer said the stomach is 75 percent diet anyways, well, you've got that one covered! I think you'll do great!

I have lost 88 pounds total. I have lost 10 inches off my chest, 15 inches off my waist, 5 inch off my arms, 8 inches off my thighs, 5 inches off my calves, and 15.5 inches off my hips.

In my experience, I haven't had any significant loose skin. By that I mean nothing that is apparent. I have a bit of looseness on the lower side of my arms, nothing bad, more an issue of toning my tricep. I have no loose folds of skin on my tummy , I have some loose skin on my thighs but, I am still loosing in this area.

I am actually REALLY pleased with my appearance and the skin issues were a big concern for me. I found that I lost pounds first, then my skin tightened up and I lost the inches.

I may feel differently about my appearance in another 30 pounds but, I don't think so.

I drink at least 3 liters of water a day, and drink the blueberry pomegranate drink or have the jello everyday. I was told the drink and jello have properties in them to help with the skins elasticity.

I also have significantly less cellulite than I did.

My stretch marks aren't bad but, my family doesn't have a history of them to begin with. I have a little bit on my bust which almost don't show (I have to be in just the right light), and a small amount on my outer hips. The hip stretches showed up when I was a teen and came about when I had really rapid height/growth spurt.

As expected, I do have a less full bust line than I did. Nothing I am embarassed by or worried about. If I didn't have a lift, I could still feel comfortable in my birthday suit! (hopefully that isn't TMI.)

Your stats are absolutely amazing, I'm almost speechless! I knew you'd lost a lot, but didn't realize exactly how far you've come - WOW!

Thanks!

Yes, it is a lot when I look at the numbers on paper. My coach only records the measurements from one side, the same side, each visit. The numbers I posted are not doubled (meaning don't represent both arms or thighs). I am really proud of how my body responded. So far, I haven't really seen it though. That is. until yesterday!

It was the first time I have been to the gym in a very long time. I decided to try what CW did with walking and I want to do some toning too. Anyway, I was there and was working on toning my triceps. As I was standing sideways to a mirror, about 15 feet way from it, I suddenly thought "that's me!". I don't know how many times in the past I have been at that same machine, same position, and I know I NEVER looked like that!

It was great! I haven't been working out or exercising. I have a heart rate monitor and used it yesterday. Last night at my old, normal walking pace, I never got my heart rate up over 60% of max. I use to be a runner. I competed in track an field and long distance events in high schools but I haven't been running in years. Last night, at the end of my 2.5 miles walk, I decided to see how fast I had to get the tread mill to reach a 70 or 75% heart rate. I ended up jogging (12 min mile pace) for 1/2 mile! My heart rate stayed around 72%. I didn't get crampy or winded. I got off the equipment and heart rate quickly dropped to normal. I never felt faint or fatigued either! It was so nice!

I asked my doctor the same thing, he told me that the Pomegranate Drink and the Rasberry Jelly help your skin out from being/looking too loose. I started out drinking 2 a week of the pomegranate just to get used to the taste. Hopefully this helps!
