  • Thanks to Erin, and Pita, and every others scale hoppers I'm thinking about buying a scale too. I'm putting myself in trouble hahaha!! What have you bought ? Is it like a simple scale, or a really fancy one ?

    So, WI 11 today. -2 lbs. I'm kinda frustrated, but well, I've used some bars, and it's WI 2 days in advance, AND it's TOM, so let's say it's allright!

    My coach is going to vacations 1 one week, and after that, I'm going to vacations for 1 months.. I'm wondering if it could be the time to like.. humm.. never call her again? I'm thinking about that because in fact, even if she's really nice and such, she's useless... She weight me, try to sell me products, and try to sell me facials, and moisturizer, and.. that's about it. When I have questions, I come here, or research on the Internet.

    Last time I've asked her about the 14 g of carbs in the wilberry yogourt drink, she said ''it doesn't matter, it's pretty low in calories, you can have 60+ carbs, as long as it is low in calories''.. WTH? So I'm not really asking her questions anymore, and plus, I'm buying some alternative, because, as a student in University, I cannot afford the IP 4$/packet anymore. I'm using IP, but I'm also using pure protein, or wathever I can find that is the same things as IP, but half the cost. So.. What do you think ? Do you think that I should only.. never go there again, and buy some IP products at another clinic, some alternative and do it by myself ? I'll have all the informations about maintenance here, when needed.. I'm kinda lost, and I don't know what to do..
  • Erin - LOL at your scale tales! I loooove my home scale. It's at least 2 lbs lighter than Geri's scale, even when fully clothed. I weigh in on Tuesday/Thursday in another effort to manipulate the scale. I work from home those days and wear workout clothes to the weigh in cuz they weigh less than my work clothes.

    I'm glad you understand PCOS. Sooooo few people do! I didn't even know I had it until an ob/gyn casually diagnosed it from visible symptoms before he did a single test. Geri exhibited some "tough love" that first month when I was freaking out over the pill not working but other than that, she's been a gem.

    Do you have a WII? I like it because it keeps track of your weight, giving you a nice little graph of your progress.

    If you're not happy with your coach, I vote for not seeing her again and using alternate products (ok, so this is what I'm doing too). I've been using Bernstein's drink boxes ($2.00 each), which are the exact same thing as the IP drink boxes ($5.50 each) with the odd IP package thrown in so I don't get bored. Hope that helps!

  • Holy freakin' cow -- I put ice in the blender with the vanilla ready to drink and, Um, its a MILKSHAKE. I'm in love. Love love love.

    Pita: Congrats...oh, and by the way, my phone says 100 degrees in PDX for Thursday, so, um drive through quickly with the AC on.

    This is our first sign of summer, and I'm literally still bundled up...I have been so cold on this diet. I'm hoping its because my body is so busy burning fat that it can't be bothered with keeping me warm, but probably not.

    Sandy: don't think I have relied on my "coach" for anything. Mainly here to be honest. didn't think this was a calorie counting diet but a carb counting/calorie counting one.

    anyways, yes I actually drove 3 hours home one day early to get on my own scale. I know I haven't gained by being in phase II if not a loss. I have to admit something else, I am phase I ing today cause I was worried.

    next 3 days will be tougher because of sugar in evil drinks but we shall see.

    to all those stalling...OMG have I ever stalled or what?? shrug it off, BUT I really think when I was stalling it had to do with high carb packets. I haven't had a veg chilli for a month OR any bars; I only had bars int he first 2 weeks (funny that) cause my coach said its ok. If I am going to suffer and pay for my suffering, might as well have the low carb stuff. And I have drank alcohol plenty, at least once every other week I have strayed.

    JESSICA: I knew it wouldn't be too long before we started complaining about the heat I had bought a fancy air conditioner last year (after the heat wave), I am going to set it up for my kitten and kitty sitter while I am gone. I love my little girl, ie: kitten.

    Well, maybe I can still go to the WI with her, but rely on here for everything else. The things is, I find it akward that I'm going to be weighted, and not buying anything..

  • I feel SOO much better today everyone. I think I just needed an off day to really refocus. Every mistake and slip I made yesterday was all me, and today every good choice I make is all me as well.

    Some days you just need to crawl back in bed and start over. That was my yesterday. Instead I made whiny choices and felt sorry for myself. Today I'm going to do something about it!

    Re: the google documents, I track my weight daily and record it in a google doc. Since I had 2 computers at home and a work laptop that I use all day, I liked the portability of google docs because I can access it anywhere.


    Nitenic Bought the last vanilla box at the doc's this morning too. They expect more today or tomorrow. Thanks for the google tip. I use my laptop when I travel usually but now I will try google too.

    Almost to the 50 lb mark. Almost. Got measured today for the first time in the 20 weeks I have been doing IP. Have lost a total of 28.75 inches.(More than 2 feet!!) 7.5 from my waist alone and 6.5 from chest and 6.75 from hips. Very motivating to see these numbers. And 42.1 pounds of fat gone. I love knowing I am losing fat and not muscle! Hope everyone has a wonderful IP successful day.
  • I had dreams of trying to eat and finding nothing but food that was not good for me. Was a nightmare, one of those ones that I was so happy when I got up and realized it was all a dream.

    That is awesome on the lbs and inches!! Wow. I cannot wait until I hit the 50-lb mark! I think I assumed that everyone got measured weekly so it's interesting to hear otherwise. Sometimes the measuring tape is kinder to me than the scale.
  • I had a dream last night that I binged on ketchup and bread. (Go figure...) It was so realistic I had to run immediately to the scale and then check to see if I was still in ketosis.

    IP messes with your mind/dreams.
  • Confessions of a Phase 2 gainer....
    Ok so my worst fears came true , moved to phase 2 and gained 2.6 pounds over night well actually over 2 nights...... as it was a holiday last week I wasnt logging my fitday and kicked myself out of ketosis big time with a restricted pack and 2 cups of cooked rhubarb (friday & sat- it was good so I had it both days) then logged it didnt realise how many carbs were in cooked rhubarb, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh seriously how is that possible that I am that sensitive?????? So back to no restricteds and basics again..... sorry I wasnt going to post this as I dont want to be a bummer to others moving phases ... but I gotta say I was bummed!!!!!
  • I know that this have nothing to do about IP at all, but I'm planning a trip from Quebec City to Atlantic City by car, and then after that, coming back by New York, Cape Cod, Boston, Hampton beach.. Does anyone have ideas of things I shouldn't miss ? Like things that tourist don't usually go because they don't know about, some treasure that are better than all the ''touristic normality'' ? We don't plan taking the higway, we're thinking about using the GPS (without highway) .

    I don't want to offend anyone because I know that it is a chat for IP, but hey, I'm thinking... why not ask ? You can PM me if you prefer so it'll not be in an IP thread!
