I Did It :)

So for most of my life, I've been obese. And let's not kid ourselves, morbidly obese. I was tired: physically, emotionally. I was unhappy with my appearance and hated being fat.
So this January I started my weight loss journey at 256.4 pounds, a size 24, and 'women's' size shirts.

Today I weighed in 145 pounds. I reached my goal! :carrot:

Now I'm a size 12, and can wear most things off the rack. Yay!

Nightowlrn 10-29-2016 10:50 AM

6 small meals a day. I kept under a carb limit and now at the end of this week I'm going to start adding more foods back in slowly.

Every time I hear that, I'm both ashamed and proud of myself.

Ashamed that I weighed so much that I lost enough to lose a person, and proud that I stuck with it to LOSE that person!

do you think it is possible to lose so much weight without getting a personal trainer or going to the gym?

Yes. I lost over a 100 pounds without stepping foot in a gym or spending a penny on a personal trainer.
I walked and dieted myself.

ChelsieT 04-26-2017 07:10 PM

Congrats, such an inspiration to all. You must feel and look so much better.

alanz 05-26-2017 07:58 AM

my congratulations! I want to lose at least 20 pounds, hope my goal will come true in the next few months

giselley 06-08-2017 08:16 AM

Congrats. But don't you think that adding the foods that made you fat back in will start the weight gain again? I would watch that if I were you.

HealthyMeWannabe 06-27-2017 08:30 AM

Congrats!

Exersise is very good for you, but it has nothing to do with weight loss. It actually makes you very hungry. I avoid it.

Maria56twerk 07-01-2017 07:22 PM

Congrats! you must be our new wonder woman :)

VictoriousWeightLoss 09-17-2017 05:38 AM

Wow! how incredibly rude.

nickilaughs 11-21-2017 02:20 PM

I wouldn't worry about that comment. The goal everyone strives for is balance. Not having chocolate cake the rest of your life is not really realistic. The goal is to balance it with the fruits and veggies that give your body fuel. Congrats on your huge accomplishment. That commentor also says exercise makes you hungry and to avoid it. Which it does but it also speeds up your metabolism. If you can combine that with nutrient dense low cal foods that we were meant to eat I don't foresee a problem. Be proud of yourself!
