I love Zumba and make myself run, even though that is not my favorite. Zumba was just the ultimate workout for me. It is super high cardio for an hour, yet I was toning at the same time. I noticed that the more I focused on the moves, I could feel how having my arms raised really helped my shoulders, or that the salsa moves worked my booty. LOL I am lucky to have an incredibly talented instructor who was a former choreographer, so her workouts are fun and yet very specifically designed to tone and hit all the muscle groups. MOst Zumba is not like that.
I did weight circuits for the first couple months of working out, but for whatever reason, my body seemed to get muscular very quickly on mostly cardio. I do the occasional calisthenic workout...push-ups, etc, but not a lot. I didn't have any specific program...just trying to switch up my cardio and eat right!
