Default Are there any vegetarians out there?

My Doc put me on a strick vegan diet, no dairy, no animal! Why? Because my cholesterol and triglycerides were sky high! I am on medication for it and need help/info from other vegans.
Thanks!

I am! I eat no green veggies or meat and will be glad to share a few recipes I have typed up with you. PM me if you'd like them. I've ate this way all my life and my bloodwork has always been "very good" according to my GP. So I guess there is benefits to being a picky eater

^^Wow, a vegan who eats no green veggies. I don;t quite know what to say

To the OP, I am vegan, 100% vegan. I am significantly overweight but have *perfect* bloodwork! Cholesterol of 126 and BP of 112/72

I would love to know who your MD is; Kudos to him for seeing the value of a vegan diet in normalizing your levels! It has been proven through Harvard studies and such, that a vegan diet can bring points down as much as 50 in as little as 11 days with diet alone!!! Dr Mc Dougall has had much documented sucess with a zero fat added, starch and vegetable based diet.

The basis of your diet could be things such as green leafy vegetables, whole grains, legumes and beans.

PM me for any information you might want and good luck! This *will* work!
