Newbie's question

  • Hi all,
I just started this week and after spending a HUGE fortune I am very reluctant to spend any more.
A girlfriend told me Nonni's Biscotti is the same nutritional info as the biscotti they sell at LAWL:
    the original is
    100 calories
    35 fat calories
    4 gr. fat
    25 mg chol.
    65 mg sodium
    15 gr. carbs
    1 gr. fiber
    8 gr. sugar
    2 gr. protien

does that sound the same to anyone who has the nutritional info for LAWL's

Also, I am thinking of eating Luna bars (for $.95 at trader joes) instead of the lites. But I still want to be able to get my rebate when I reach goal. Do they believe you if you tell them you bought the lites on E-bay? Do you still qualify for the rebate?

Thanks for the help- I look forward to learning from you experienced losers!

  • iheartsushi - what does a biscotti count as? I've never bought them - are they a starch and a fruit?
  • textjewel-That's right, a starch and a fruit. I personally didn't think they were all that but they were on sale a couple months ago so a bought a bunch of the snacks to try.
Their cereal bars are pretty good. I also liked the baked pasta snacks. I absolutely could not stand the replacement meals. But I have this thing with textures and it literally made me gag. But everyone else I've talked to thinks I'm crazy, they love them.
But now that I'm a couple months into the program, I feel more confident picking out healthier foods that aren't specific to the plan but do "mesh".
