Default mini cupcake maker recipe ideas

I saw a mini cupcake maker on sale at Aldi's this week. I'm wondering if things like egg muffin cups, bean brownies and healthy, snack type things would cook well in them.

Has anyone used it for food rather then sweets? I'm thinking it would be great for not heating up the house in the summer for baking some of the things I like.

is it something that doesnt go in the oven? ...ive never heard of that but i suppose if it cooks cupcakes, it would cook other similar things that would cook at similar temperatures...maybe spray it with Pam or something for easy cleanup?

They are little counter top things. Looks like a waffle maker.

I know, it's just another gadget to clutter the kitchen. I'm such a sucker for cute small appliances. Then I have to figure out how to store them.

Hi,
This is so timely. I saw the same mini cupcake maker at Aldi and actually bought it because you know how things disappear from there quickly. Like you I love gadgets. I am waiting and hoping that someone has used this gadget will provide a review. It is so cute but I have no idea if it works. I also saw the cake pop maker there but decided that was really an unnecessary item.I don't like giving kids sticks because I don't want them to fall with it.

So please anyone with views and recipes for this thing please post.We need your help.

The manual for a different cupcake maker has some non-cupcake recipes at the end:

I imagine it would work well for things like quiches, tarts, and muffins as well as cupcakes.
