25 Best Diets

US News did a piece on the 25 best diets; what's more interesting for me is below each diet is a reader poll asking if those diets worked for them.

The only ones that seemed to work for the majority of readers: Weight watchers, vegetarianism, veganism, Eco-atkins, and medifast! Most of the others have more failures (according to this poll) than successes! I don't know what the face value of this article is, but it's quiet interesting.
  • Yes, it is intereting.
  • Interesting. I'm surprised the Raw Foods diet got such low marks. I use this diet (modified by eating a small amount of cooked food for dinner) to detox from all the caffeine, sugar substitutes, etc. every so often and I always lose 4-7 pounds during the 7 days (I don't go any longer than this). It's been a big part of my weight loss efforts and maintaining my weight over the past couple of years.
