I just had to jump in here real quick and post.
The frenchmen came in this morning. They had a new guy with them. :yikes: YOWZA!!!!!! I'm feeling much better now..... ;) |
Hi Sweeties!!!!!!!!!!
Just a note to say I am alive and well....and well I am drowning in office work....the nerve of them!! Smoochies!! :grouphug: |
Huh!? What?! Cafe - you silly girl, you did that on purpose........ I was on the drill team in high school but........
Sorry I haven't been around much lately. No excuses I just haven't felt like posting. Even though we didn't get snow like some of you we did get a little cold snap. Temps in the 30's in the am and my heater decided it doesn't want to work now. I would never have thought it would get this cold here in April. Hopefully this is the end of it. Jello - Get to feeling better soon. Tigerlily - Have you checked out the Atkins website? PM me and I will send you the link if you want it. There's lots of info about the program there you might not even have to buy the book. DNW - Hope you get unburied soon. SEMO - Hi! Gotta go for now. LJ |
Good Morning!
Huntress, thanks for the website info. That will help me out. I might still buy the other book if I see it somewhere. I'm a book person.;) I must admit...I'be been running around kinda willy-nilly this last week knowing I will be starting a new program. :^: I've probably gained a couple pounds. Instead of the "Last Supper", it's been the "Last Banquet". DNW, I don't think this job is working out for us. Your gonna have to find something else. We need our Sarge! Hope you can get unburied soon. Today, we are having a new front door and stormdoor installed. I am so excited! Doesn't take much to please me. No jewelry, no flowers...give me a household improvement! :wizard: May Everyone Have A Wonderful Day! |
Good morning ladies!
Tig - Last Banquet, that's exactly what I'm fighting! Why do we do this? I guess if I knew that I'd know a few other things and then I'd be making a million selling my book. Huntress - somehow I just KNEW you'd be the one to do the dance for us. ;) Are you going to try the Atkins too, then? I forget. Jello - yowsa, huh? Do you have a digital camera at that office, by any chance?? I think I could use a little yowsa on a Thursday. DNW - nice to see ya. Well, I'm wearing a long, plastic-suede type skirt that's pretty snug up around the top- to keep me in line today. Man, it was a difficult day to get going, but I think I'm finally starting to feel really alive. Opinion poll: what day should I take off work next week, Monday because I would have a 3-day weekend, with the house to myself (DH is in class that day) or Wednesday because I have an event that evening, with DH around? |
Cafe - If the event is something special to you take that day off. If not choose the other day. My opinion only, that's what I'd do anyways. I'm sorta half doing Atkins, half not. Technically no I guess........right? Still struggling with making a decision even though I think it's a pretty good plan.
Uh Oh, gotta go.........boss back from out of town. Later, LJ |
Cafe, Monday! Sometimes you just need a day all to yourself.
Better yet ... BOTH!!! Hm, guess not? Regarding the new young frenchman, sorry no digital camera available. He's very quiet, doesn't speak much english. Yeah, I know - Who Cares!?!? Seriously, he was just a pleasant surprise. :D Tiger, I'm with you on the home improvements. Last Valentine's Day, Rich bought me a new kitchen sink. Ooooh. Ahhhhh. Everyone was teasing him but I thought it was great! Huntress, good to see you. Sorry to hear about the heater. :( This weather has indeed been weird. Temperatures are not just below normal; they're something like 15-20 degrees below normal!!! Yuck. DNW, come up for air soon!!! Want me to give them a call and tell them off? I'm feelin' feisty. Spent most of the morning on the phone with Air France (officially my new "most hated airline"). Our french visitors wanted to do some flight changing and asked me to handle it. Boy what an ordeal. I guess it has a lot to do with new security measures but really! Anyway, I finally got everything figured out and got them on the flights they needed. And I was able to give them the information right there in front of the company president. Score one for ME!! :queen: Hm, and yet as strong and brave as I'm feeling right now, I still have to contend with that big bowl of malted milk Easter eggs sitting entirely too close to me. Now I'm frightened.... |
Hello All, sort of feeling hohumm today, don't know why either. I had been spotting for over a month so I decided to quit taking my HRM. BIG MISTAKE.... Even one of the fellows here said, you sure are touchy lately (funny I thought I was FINE) and been having hot flashes. I thought I had power surges before, no, no I was wrong. Now, I truely know what a hot flash is! Needless to say after beening off the pills for a couple of weeks, I'm back on them as of this morning. I did this last year and after coughing up $500 out of pocket expenses and all the trips back and forth to the dr for test, nothing was wrong. Just needed to change medications..........
Well, I'm heading out for lunch, maybe some fresh air will help.....anything is better than all this SMOKE! Wish, they would BAN the smokers from doing it inside.............. Okay, I feel better, I'm sure you wanted to hear my :censored: :censored: day. :D Really it's not that bad....... Later Tater! |
Hunt, you sound like me - I think I've been putting off decisions about WHAT plan because I don't really want to be ON a plan. But I decided that the motivation isn't going to make itself. So I'm going to fake it, pick something, and then maybe as I move forward it will come?
Jello, Score one for you! Believe me, if you can take on Air France you can stand proof against the power of the Easter Eggs. Besides, they don't taste that good anyway. You're really disappointing me with no pictures, though. Well, the verdict is in... because I had one Monday, one Wednesday and one BOTH (the most tempting but not possible, alas) I called DH to ask him and he said WEDNESDAY because then we can do something together. My jaw dropped, and I quickly made arrangements to be out that day. He's so busy lately, it will be fun to hang out with him (even though I'm sure that noon onward will be devoted to homework.) The nice thing is, if he was too busy he would have just told me to take Monday off, LOL. Plus the evening will be less hectic. ~Eating my nuked Lean Cuisine, and LIKING it. (I am strong, I am strong). edited to say: Semo! I can't believe they smoke near you! That should be illegal in the workplace. Make them buy you a filter, pronto. Stuff is downright dangerous. Have you tried evening primrose oil? Supposed to help balance the hormones a bit during that time of life and ALSO is one of those Omega-rich sources. You should try this as a supplement and you don't need to count the fat grams. Hang in there! |
Cafe, I'll make it even worse....
He smells sooooooo good!!! :cloud9: One of the secretaries is calling his cologne "Orgasm in a Can". :o Oops. Sorry if I offended with that. :sorry: BTW, he's married. Annnnyhoo.... Semo, our building banned smoking years ago!! Tell them to get on the ball there. You shouldn't have to breathe that poison! Now my only problem here is finding one of the phone gals on the rare day that they bother to show up for work. Oh yeah, they're out back having a smoke ... every hour ... on the hour .... |
Hi Gals!
The guy that is suppose to put the door in is late. It's always something, isn't it? You know, I don't have to tell you all how I feel about smoking. My Dad's lung cancer is surely caused by it. He quit two weeks before finding out he had cancer. When I see someone buying smokes, I want to shake them. :soap: I could really climb up on one. Who was the little smoker in our group? quit! On hot flashes...my mother has them now and their house is always freezing! Dad is scared to say anything, he just puts on another layer. I'm still reading my Atkins for Life book. Giving up regular coffee will be my biggest challenge, but I can do it. I might sleep through, but I can do it. :smug: later taters! |
I miss you all!
Semo: I now take "Activella", which is an a prescription hormone and a low dose, plant-based estrogen...no horse urine for me!
Once it a while I have occiasional spotting, but it's not anything I can't live with. Also the same thing happened to me when I went cold turkey off the HRT pills....major, like I never had them before so bad, hot flashes. I now know that you are supposed to wean yourself off hormones, but very few docs tell you that. As for the ho-hums...still waiting to have the Prozac kick in... Cafe: I agree with you on faking it til you make it....my movitation hasn't been around for a while...but I, out of habit, have not been overeating and it has paid off...down to 256 again....I am on my way down!!!!!!! Tiger: I hear you on the cancer....my cousin just died from it last year and only stopped smoking 2 months before he died....I quit 7 years ago because it wasn't worth it anymore...wish my DH would realize that too!! Jello: Orgasm in a can...you are too funny....now what shelf did you say that was on ;) Huntress: Half Atkins sounds respectable....if it works for you why not?? Brighter, Quilter, Tiffany, and all other lurkers...come back :( Smoochies!!!!!!!! |
TGIF!!!! TGIF!!!! TGIF!!!!! :dancer: Yeah, I know I wasn't even in all week but it's still been a long one. And if this rain doesn't stop soon, I'm going to have to go insane. I want sunshine. I NNNNNEEEEEEEDDDDDD sunshine! :flow1:
Oh please excuse me. I'm feelin' feisty again. Just kinda' jumpy but in a good way. Does that make any sense? Probably not. But it's not such a bad feeling and I'm going to stick with it while I can. :D Last night I hopped on my treadmill and put the Evita soundtrack on the portable CD player. Next thing I knew, I was almost completely through Act 1 and had done over 2 miles!! I was a-sweatin' and a-pantin' and feelin' soooo good! Completely (I hope  ) undid the fettucini alfredo I had for dinner. :o Oops. Well, I didn't eat as much as I would have before and I skipped dessert and ... well, all the other excuses. And I enjoyed the heck out of it! ;) Eating light today and can't wait to get back on the treadmill tonight for Act 2. Interesting, I got into a conversation about smoking with a store clerk yesterday. Don't know why it came up?? Anyway, I was talking about how I used to smoke 20-something years ago and how I quit because the price of a pack of cigarettes went up to a whopping 45 cents and I thought it was too expensive!! What are they now? 5 bucks or something? Man, even if it wasn't for the health reasons, people should quit just to save all that money! Now if I could only quit Burger King and save all THAT money! Gotta run. Work to do. Hope you all have a great day! |
I'm joining in   Five o'clock can not get here fast enough.
Jello, you sound really good, psssst..... is it the exercise.... Great job! DNW, good to hear from ya kid-o. Have you bought a new key board yet? We are LIKE missing you! Nothing exciting to report, so you guys have a great weekend. |
YIKES where has all the time gone?
Man oh man, is it great to be back here. Of course so much has happened since I left. Let's start with the fact that I've gained back over 20 pounds   , but it's no surprise since I haven't been even attempting to start on any type of program.
So it turns out that the guy I've ben working for is a total con-artist. I never got paid, none of us did!! There was never any funding and this guy is a true scum sucking :censored: who needs to be in jail. Myself along with others that have been with this company since January have gone to the D.A. and are trying to get this guy off the street. We have since found the he has pulled this scam in Mexico, the U.K. and a few other states!! We realize that we will never see one red cent owed to us, but we really don't want this man to ruin other people's lives. A few people quit there good paying jobs to work for this rat ******* and it's terrible. We are having problems jus trying to pay our rent, so you can see why I'm just a little bitter! :s: On to other things.....We are still planning on moving to Utah. I have already started packing!! I want out of here so bad...I can taste it. We talked to a loan guy out there and he's in the process of trying to get us qualified, so keep your :crossed: . The only catch is that we have to have jobs first. DH has an interview next week and I'm going along so that i can go to some agencies and get the ball moving on my end. I talked to one recruiter back in November and she said to come and see her when we where out there again. So I'm going to give her a call. According to the loan guy, I need to find a permenant job, which I will also be working on. DH and I decided back in Feb., that we would like to have one more child. I know....What the heck are we thnking?! :yikes: , with a 4 yr old, a 2 yr old and a 1 yr old. Ladies, it's kinda hard to explain. My mind says "Are you off your freakin' nut? you can't afford another kid". My body is saying "You don't even have enough energy to keep up with the 3 you already have", but my heart is saying "Your supposed to have one more". I don't want to look back and regret it, I don't want to also think....what if.....plus, I believe that I wouldn't feel complete. So now that SIL had her baby in March, and my sister is preggars again (after a miscarriage in Sept.) and my other SIL is due next month, we decided that it was okay to start trying again. Well ladies I took a H.P.T. seven hours ago and I am in shock!! Right before I took it, and the reason I took it was because I decided that right now probably wouldn't be the best time to get pregnant. Not with trying to get stuff packed and trying to find a job. So I was having mixed emotions and I guess I'm still trying to sort them out, as I haven't been able to sleep. Ah Screw it!!!! I"M HAPPY AS A CLAM!!! :cb: :cb: we're having a baby!!!! |
Dyanm, let me the first to say I'M SO HAPPY THAT YOU POSTED! It's a shame about the scam guy, you just have to chalk it up to one of those life learning experences and not let it eat at you. So many changes you are and will be going through, you're a tough lady and will come out on high ground. Pregrant! :faint: We love ya! :chockiss: :chockiss:
|
HEHE, Your Killing me SEMO :D , and thanks for the support. Yeah, another one of life's lessons........
I am still hoping to lose some weightt during this pregnancy. i have a feeling that the Doc will put me on a strict diet since I had pregnancy induced diabetes during my last pregnancy. Well my oldest and youngest are up, so I gotta jet! |
SEMO, I *order* you to have a good weekend too. :)
I like that, I think I want to make "psssssst . . . it's the exercise!" my sig line - but I guess I have to exercise first. Well heck, I strolled around enjoying MY sunshine for my entire lunch hour yesterday. That should count for something. But not like Jello! WTG girl! Sweat'n and panting! Keep up the good work. You know, I was reviewing my bus schedule today and I realized - duh - my hours at work changed by 15 minutes...and looking at the schedule I could make it through the workout and shower and get to the office - and not have to wake up before 6:00. Don't know about you guys but 6:00 a.m. sounds... doable where anything in the 5's sounds awful. So I'm a little excited about that - I feel like I can do it! Yep, I *know* from experience that it I can maintain (or gain and lose the same 3 lbs) indefinitely with diet OR exercise, but I can't lose consistently unless I have BOTH. This is my challenge with this latest new beginning. Don't fool around with one thinking I'll "add" the other when I'm "comfortable" but learn to do both at the same time - finally. Jello- your mission: go to the nearest department store this weekend and sniff cards until you find that cologne - and then post the REAL name so I can go buy some. Tig - give up real coffee? DNW- Yep, I don't care how I feel about it, I'm just going to move forward. Actually, as I force myself to get involved, the enthusiasm really WILL follow. I think it might be already. I have to say, it's Friday, it's Friday! And we're supposed to be in the 60's and sunny all weekend! Edited to say: OMG it's Dyan! wait a sec... I'll just make another post. |
OMG Dyan's PREGNANT!
I'm so happy to see your smiling face. Glad you're out of that nasty job situation (which was obviously preventing you from being here...) ;) but I'm just sad that he stole your work. 'What SEMO said.' And I'm very excited about your 4th. :bb: |
Thanks Cafe!!
I've been trying to decide how to tell the families. I think for Easter they'll get a letter from the Easter Bunny telling them that Santa will be delivering their present! Since I'm due December 19th. Man.....it's really starting to sink in! you ladies are the only ones who know, besides Dh & myelf :sssh: . It sounds like everyone is doing pretty well. I am WAy too behind to go back and read everything that everyon'e written, and I know you've heard this before, but i give my solem oath to try to check in everynight. I pinky swear!! :s: We are heading to Utah next week, for the job interviews. So that's kinda what I'm concentrating on right now. I even forgot about Easter!! Bad mommy!! Had to go "shopping" at my mom's for Easter baskets and what not. You guys just don't know! My mom is the type to go out the day after a Holiday and stock up for the next year, and she usually forgets how stuff she actually has! According to my sister, Kyrssie, my mom could open her own Target :hyper: . Gotta get ready to go to lunch w/ an old co-worker. If I don't get back today, I hope everyone has a great weekend! |
Newsflash! Woman arrested for snorting cologne cards at the cosmetic counters of various stores. Film at 11! Oh yeah, Cafe, you tryin' to get me in trouble??? Seriously, several of us were daring each other to ask but we never summed up the courage. Wish they were back again today. Still feelin' feisty!
And hey look!!! Dyan's back! And she's "not alone"!!! Congratulations Dyan!!!!! I think it's great news! Forget all the "we can't afford another baby" stuff. Just take care of YOU!! And good luck :crossed: with the job search and the big move. Keep in touch with us ... or else! So Semo, is it 5:00 yet? Another hour and a half here! Then off to more sweatin' and pantin'! Uh, exercise that is. :o Have to go. The Friday afternoon rush to get it all done is on! Boss is busy cleaning (i.e. pushing around piles of junk) his office. Lots of it seems to be spilling out onto my desk. Yeah, yeah. Monday. :p Hope you all have a great weekend. Cafe, I'll see what I can do about that cologne. Even if it means travelling to Paris. Hey, it's a tough job but someone's gotta do it..... |
Paris??? Well, shoot, I'm coming too!! LOL!
Have a great weekend everyone. |
Goodness sakes! I've been missing so much.....!!!!
Dyan: Congratulations on the baby! Good to see your posts again! We missed you, girl!! Sorry I haven't been around---nursing a sinus infection with some bad tasting medicine and lots of sleepless nights. Still managing to drag myself to work (the boss is gone and I'm covering) but I've looked like crap! DNW: now that's our fearless leader! WTG on getting on track! SEMO: did you see the :censored: SNOW the other day? I tried to ignore it so it would go away fast! I am happier with these 60-70 deg. days---gotta get back to that spring weather. WTG on the exercise---you are my hero! Hey Huntress, we had those 30's too! Had to drag out the winter coat, again! Hey to Jello,Tiger, Quilter, Kayla and Tiff. Gotta go....roots to dye, dishes to wash, clothes to launder, house to straighten. Tanning tomorrow again....a bit of a weird experience for a first timer like me. Haven't seen much difference with the first visit but I know it takes awhile. It has been nice on the really cold days, though. Take care and have a nice weekend all! "Bright" |
I forgot to say hey to Cafe....how ya doin, girl! It's so hard to stay with one program these days. So much information swirling aound us! I am still with WW because it works but I struggle with these plateaus I'm hitting.
Gotta go. "Bright" |
Thanks Huntress, Jello & Brighter!! I think I'm still denial!! Every now and then it'll hit me like a ton of bricks! I'll just look over at DH and kinda smile. I know I'm such a dork!
Not sure about going to Utah next week, the guy didn't call DH and this trip pretty much resolves around that......Can I just tell you that the uncertainty of it all is killing me!! I am so glad to see all my old friends here!! i wasn't sure what to expect. :grouphug: Have an awesome weekend everyone!! |
HEY DYAN! Gosh it's great to see you again! I've been wonderin about and missing you a lot. Congratulations on the new baby! Oh, that's just wonderful news. I'm so excited for you!
Hello, to everyone else. I just had to "pop" in here when I saw Dyan's post but I have a million and one things to do today since I've spent most of the weekend running the streets. Catch you all later............ LJ |
Monday already!? :( Bummer. This weekend was great! The weather was beautiful and I did tons of yard work. We've had this corner of the yard covered in these old ugly chipped slate tiles and I decided I couldn't live with it any more. So I got my shovel and my pry bar and my wheel barrow. Hours later, they're all stacked up in a corner and now I've got a large area of wonderful, rich, dark soil just ready for some serious planting. And meanwhile, I got more exercise than any treadmill could possibly offer. Have I mentioned that I LOVE  spring time!!!!
This is amusing. I have this bird feeder that attaches to the outside of the kitchen window. It has a little two-way mirror thing in it so that I can see the little birds come into the feeder but they can't see me so I can watch them. Well, I got up Saturday, looked out the window and the little feeder was "full" of one big ol' squirrel. While I didn't appreciate the little brat eating all the seed, it was pretty funny to see him wedged in there. Hm, now I have to find a way to squirrel proof that one just like the other ones. Dyan, I'm sorry about the uncertainty. That's the worst part of anything, isn't it? I had a possible job change about 3-4 months ago but it didn't work out. Disappointing but I'm glad the waiting part is over. Cafe, sorry. Didn't get to any men's fragrances counters this weekend. And those visitors flew back home to Paris without asking me if I'd like to accompany them. The nerve. Just as well, I suppose. Instead I spent the weekend sniffing the new spring flowers! Yay! Brighter, feel better soon. I hear those sinus infections can be tough. :( I guess I'd better go. It's officially starting time and none of the other "phone girls" are in. Not a good sign. Could be a loooonnnnnng week..... |
Monday Funday! hey, I can pretend.:p
I'm with Jello, weekend went way too fast. It didn't help that I had the slug disease. I think it came from my "last banquet" during the week. I did mow, but it's a rider.:^: DYAN! Glad to see you back, and congrats! :bb: This is my first week of Atkins. I'm still learning how to do it, so I may be mud'lin through it the first few days. I am going to allow myself 1 or 2 cups of lite coffee...just this first week.....ween off it. I was drinking 3 to 4 cups of regular. I tried to take my measurements...I think I need professional help. And, I weighed in at 196.5. I don't have an exact goal weight. 150's, 160's? anywhere in there and I'd be happy. I just want to be able to dress in front of DH w/o hide'n in the dark or ducking into the bathroom. And, I'd like to be able to wear a regular size XL....and it still fit me AFTER it has been washed. Is that asking too much?! Hey Bright, how are the roots? I've never been brave enough to color myself. :chicken: On squirrels....our neighbors have so many wild rodent cats that there are no squirrels at my house! Just mangy, inbred, wild cats. Instead of eat'n the bird seed, they eat the birds! better get busy... :df: |
Happy Monday, girls!
Did I mention that I've taken Hump Day off this week? So this will be a fun one for me. Tomorrow's Friday and Friday is Friday. :) So I'm on plan today too! With an extra day off this week, stress is no excuse. I didn't wake up early, though so I'll be walking during my lunch hour. Bright, I'm going back to counting points for now too. It's a way to measure and that's what I really need right now. It works, it's good enough. Just need to add together a long string of days doing the basics. I'm not sure exactly why or where I've fallen down motivation-wise, but my biggest goal is to break that chain. babysteps! (sorry to hear about the sinus, BTW.) Huntress, hope you didn't run anyone DOWN out on the streets this weekend. Jello, Don't let those phone girls get you down. They obviously didn't have the lovely weekend you did, or they'd be out of bed by now... Keep that feeling! Tig, Weaning is always the better idea where coffee is concerned. {shudder} You can do it, girl! Drink your debil water and let us know how it's going. So Dyan, have you been thinking about Names??? I bet we could come up with some interesting ones for you. :s: SEMO's probably posted while I'm typing (hi!). |
Hi girls! Worked on the house all weekend, washed clothes and hung them on the line.... OMGosh, I love sheets that have been on the line on a breezy day! DH and I went out to eat and to a movie Sat night, we saw "Anger Mgt" Cute movie. STAYED LEGAL TOO! Also, I have to do a brag here.... Sat night I wore a pair of 14 khakies, I admit they were a little snug in the waist but not to the point of misery. and they weren't butt cutters either! (That's what my Aunt used to call them:) ) So even tho the scale isn't moving big time, I'm at least seeing some progress in losing inches.
The guys worked this weekend so I am covered up here. Glad to see everyone posting again.... Quilter, you are missing roll call, at least pop in for a quick hello. Gotta run. |
Butt Cutters  I've got one for ya...camel toe :o
Well, there's nothing like starting a new way of eating to make a person feel stupid. I don't know which end is up, but I'm giving it my best shot. Breakfast: 3 eggs fried in real butter, 1 TBS feta cheese, 1 beef smokie link, sugar free lemonaide. Lunch: 1 piece sauteed grilled chicken, 1 cup spinach leaves w/spoon of bluechees dressing, olives and 1 string cheese, water. Does it look like I'm low carbing?:?: My poor brain, I've ripped my gears. I sure hope I have great energy in a couple days and quit thinking about the bleep'n cereal in the cupboard.:s: |
Hello, ladies - I think I can finally see over the mound of work. Got a new receptionist 2 weeks ago, had to let her go on Friday. It may be for the best because my excellent morning girl told me she needs full time work - having separated from her 2nd husband with 3 children (3, 9 and 12) and she's only 28. She does great but she has to get her 3 year old into day care so can't take on the afternoon until later in the week so it's me against the world again. Boss is in Michigan until Wednesday so that helps.
Sun finally came out ... we had so much rain and I was really getting depressed from it. In my case, depression = FOOD! However, I haven't gained so even though I haven't lost I consider that a victory. Now that the weather is getting better, I'll be able to get back walking as soon as the allergies get under control a little better. Trees are wicked this year! |
Help I'm Drowning In Work
Quilter: I hear you about the rain and getting depressed...the sun finally came out yesterday and you cannot believe how energetic I feel when it's Springlike and beautiful outside...sounds like you are up to your eyeballs in work too!!
Tiger: Good luck on the Atkins...I couldn't handle the bad breath and not being able to poop anymore so I never tried it again...but it works beautifully for some folks...drink lots of water though or your kidneys will suffer for it. Dyan: I am so thrilled about your pregnancy...and God bless you with 3 in tow already...some women are just natural born Moms. Hope you have an easy pregnancy!! Semo: Don't :faint:...but I actually got up at 6:30 AM and walked today and I feel great...going to try again tomorrow cause I am so jealous of your size 14s...just bought pants and I am still a 20...duh...I wonder why??? Cafe: Good luck with the points counting. Sounds like everyone is ready to lose again...I know I am. Jello: Kill those phone girls...I hope that they are the lowest paid girls in the company....they make my Jello so aggrevated all the time...a pox on them! :smug: Huntress: Running in the streets...if I ran..well it's not pretty...glad you are posting though! Brighter: Good luck with your plateau...they are God's way of saying, "Even though you're starving I'm going to make this diet even more grueling". :dizzy: Smooches!!! :grouphug: |
SEMO - Way to go stayin' legal! I'm sure those TINY khakis you were wearing helped the motivation, tho. You are doing awesome - keep up the good work. You prove to me that I can do it.
Butt cutters - camel toes - I guess it's spring!?! Tig - sounds like you're low-carbing your little heart out. Nice work getting that nutrient-rich spinach in there. What cereal in the cupboard? It doesn't exist. Quilter - sorry to hear you had to do the firing as well as the hiring. A person would think it wouldn't be too hard to show up and answer phones. But I suppose Jello can tell us about a few who can't... Glad to hear you didn't suffer any gains. (that sounds weird, yet makes a strange sort of sense...) I'm at 48 oz. of water down and counting! Don't tell me you can't drink while you're at your desk, LOL. Hey, it's springtime... do you think Tiffany will come out and play? Edited to add: DNW - Yes I'm ready to lose and I'm glad you are too. Well done on the gettin' up early - I did my walk over lunch.. and worked up a little baby sweat too. :smug: |
Semo, is it beachbodies.com that you are doing? same as power90? i've been seeing their infomercials. looks like it has a lot of variety.
i'm still searching for the right "at home" workout. :df: |
Aw shoot, Tig posted her food so that means I have to, too! My dumb idea, now I remember.
Okay: half a cinnamon swirl bagel (because my DH bought the BIG ones) 2 tsp. real cream cheese 1 medium banana Lean Cuisine for lunch: Garlic Chicken (with parmesan risotto) impulse item: 1 Cadbury Egg (that's right, if I hadn't gone out to buy tampons... darn thing was 4 points by itself (I was dreaming that it was more like 2 - ouch!)) So that puts me at about 14-15 points - my range is 24-29 so I have more than enough for supper which will be: House Special: Spicy Low-Fat Turkey Chili (served with cornbread) Also, I have a 2pt yogurt down the hall in the fridge if I'm starving in the next 45 minutes. |
Howdy ladies,
no time to chat (usual0. DH got the job and they want him to start on Monday!! YIKES!! DH and I are leaving for Utah in a few hours, I have an appt. on Wednesday w/ a temp agency, so tomorrow, we're off to see the loan guy, look for a house/apt to rent, and for me to throw my resume out to whomever will take it! Wish me luck. Thanks for being here! I am sucha wreck!!! |
Wow! This place is hoppin' now.... good to see everyone on!
Dyan: Congrats on the phone call! Good luck on finding a place to live and all! Tiger: I've been doing the roots for several years now....if you use a nice product like Loreal Preference, it's not really hard. I always condition daily and get trimmed often. My hair stylist does a great job with color but she knows I like to save a little by doing my own and respects that....she's a sweet young woman with a family of her own. Cafe: One thing about this sinus stuff is it makes you drink more water or you don't get to breathe that day! I've doubled my water intake lately! :dizzy: I haven't been real hungry this past week, thanks to some rotten tasting medicines, but I'm getting better so I need to start watching my points better. Tomorrow is weigh-in so we will see... DNW: I'm sliding down the plateau a bit but a rise in the ole appetite could put me back there. I need to get up early and walk like you! WTG! JEllo: I'm with you on the springtime, girl! I need to get out in the yard in the evening and get this place looking like it used to! As soon as American Idol wraps up....:o Darn those contests! Reel me in, big time! I just watched Married by America tonight....crappy, the way no one actually won, but a bit more realistic, I guess. Ms. Huntress: Come out and play! Where in the world are you, girl! I know you have nice weather so I bet you are walking again, aren't you? SEMO: what a funny phrase, "butt cutters"! We call those wedgie pants! WTG on fitting into some favorites! You sure deserve the success---you have been workin' it hard! Hey to Quilter, Kayla, Tiff, and anyone else I missed... Probably won't be back for a few days so talk to you all soon! "Bright" |
I'm here Bright! Was gone most of the weekend and slept the rest.
DNW - "Running the streets" usually means I have taken a little drive over to the casino. Unfortunately it also means no exercise since I'm too busy with my butt parked in front of a slot machine. I like to play the pennie and nickel videos and with free rooms and meals can hardley pass it up. Dyan - Good luck on the job/house hunting. It does indeed sound like you are a very busy lady. Tigerlily - I completely gave up on Atkins, there was more than cereal in my house calling my name. I hope it works for you since I know you can lose weight with it. I understand the carb cravings go away after the 1st few weeks. Cafe - It WOULD be nice if Tiffany decided to join us again. Wonder where that newlywed dissapeared to. I didn't run anyone down this weekend (unless they were in my way or at the machine I wanted to play). :s: SEMO - Congrats on the 14's, you're one hot mama! Jello - Please, Please come do my yard too. I'm begging you, I swear I HATE yardword and you can tell. My poor neighbors are all retired people that have perfectly manicured lawns.........then there's me.:( DNW - Come on out Sarge, I really need some serious motivation. Really though I hope things ease up for you soon. Love ya' Quilter - I get depressed too when there's no sunshine. Hope yours stays for awhile and makes you feel great! I LOVE daylight savings time! I love it, love it, love it. Can you tell that I'm loving this. Now if I can convince the weatherman that it can only rain during the week and NOT on weekends. So far, so good but it's supposed to start raining here about Saturday, darn it! I must admit I haven't been doing very well diet wise since I decided not to continue doing the Atkins plan. I have been drinking my water though and getting in some walking. I have very good intentions every day but by late afternoon I get bored at work and start looking through the cabinets for something to munch on. If I could just get a handle on it I wouldn't be doing to bad overall. If anybody has any suggestions please let me know. Our business is slow and that's the time of day that I usually find myself with nothing to do. LJ |
Dyan, good luck, good luck, good luck!!! :crossed:
Huntress, thank goodness you told us what "running the streets" means! Made me think of all the comments I got when I was talking about running around the streets at 2 in the morning in my jammies. I was looking for the dog, I swear!!! BTW, Huntress, I love yard work! Maybe I won't feel the same when summer comes and it's 100 degrees out but for now I've got spring fever big time! Can't wait to get outside in the sun finally after this long harsh winter. Bright, yes! Spring time finally. Wish I didn't have to have this stupid job so I could stay home and play! DNW, I'm trying to "take the high road". I keep telling myself that those little phone girls aren't purposely trying to do this to me. They're just none too bright. :( Actually, now that I think about it, I guess they're very bright. Seems they found they can get away with stuff and are taking advantage. Either way, I won't stoop to their level, tempting as it may be. Cafe, ooooh, you said Cadbury Egg!!!! :tape: When I was in college, a local store used to sell them after Easter at 6 for a dollar. Talk about your sugar rush! But I still love the stupid things. .... um, 4 points!?!? :yikes: But what were they doing in the tampon aisle?? Well, I spent 40 minutes with Evita on the treadmill last night and that was after planting some rose bushes and other plants. Then a nice healthy dinner of chicken and veggies and fat free pudding for dessert. .... why, yes, I AM bragging. :smug: Well, I'm not this good too often. Oooh look! One of the phone girls has graced us with her presence! Now I can go pee!!!!! Whoopie!!! |
