Default Freezing Healthy Meals for Quick Meals

So... I've been falling way too much off the wagon because I just don't want to cook, I just want something quick. So I thought, maybe I can cook a big meal, divide it into smaller portions, and freeze them. Then, I can just reheat for my meal.

But, I'm not at all sure if this is safe to do. Could I freeze previously cooked things like a small steak, chili, hamburgers, boiled chicken, etc and have it be safe to eat reheated?

You absolutely can freeze cooked foods. Wrap tightly to prevent freezer burn. I do it all the time. It's a huge time saver!

Yes, of course.

How else would those frozen meals people buy get made? Those are also "precooked."

Google "freezing guide" and that will help with tips.

There's also ways to assemble dishes to "finish off" in the oven and cookbooks devoted to the freezing ahead method.

GL!

I do this all the time. At any moment, I could pretty much serve an entire buffet from my fridge and freezer.

I do this a fair bit. I hate cooking and it has saved me many times!
