Smile more fruits than veggies?

ok, i was just wondering if you eat a balanced diet (carbs, protien, healthy fats)
and you ate more servings of fruits instead of veggies would you still lose weight?
i want to gradually reintroduce certian veggies (im so used to potatos, green beans and sweet corn) atsome point.

does anyone know the effects this could have?

I'm sure it might affect my b.m.'s but i already have issues there. (ever since i had my gallbladder removed)

i know fruits have sugar, but i have to have a sweets subtitute for a bit and try and gradually wean myself. (crazy, yes)

any advice on this would be awesome.

thank you

It's not about fruits vs veggies, it's about total calories. For example, I can seriously eat a pound of grapes in a sitting. That's about 300 calories. A pound of cabbage would leave me much more full and would be 100 calories. However, those are both low-calorie choices compared to other things--a pound of bread has 1200 calories.

So, all things being equal, a diet with more fruits will probably have more calories than an identical diet with more veggies, but both will have fewer calories than a meat-and-starch diet. There is certainly room for fruit in a low calorie plan.

I lost all of 65 lbs eating lots of fruit and not too many veggies. Now that I'm vegan, I naturally am eating many more vegetables than I used to, but I digress... It's very possible to lose weight with more fruits than veggies as long as the total calories stay in check.

thank you.

i plan on watching the calories closely, i figure once i don't eat anymore processed foods the easier this will be to switch and try new veggies and such.
