Hi all,
This is my first message to you all. I'm one of the yo-yo dieters. I'm 53 years old and have lost probably 1,000 lbs over the last 40 years! I've been overweight since I was a little girl. However, when I see pix from high school, I'm amazed, wondering who that normal looking girl is! Unfortunately, I was convinced that my only option after graduation was the fat lady in the circus!
My best friend and I joined a local weight-loss group in our community called R-Weigh. The ladies are very supportive and wonderful friends. I lost 52 lbs in 2000. But, true to history, I had a bad year this past year and gained 72!
I've promised the group that I'll be back in 2002. I can feel that my mind is getting in the right place to do it again. My friend lost 115 lbs and has done well at maintaining. She is anxious for me to get back on track. And I WILL!
Well, I've probably put you to sleep by now, so I'll sign off for
now. Thanks for listening.
Velvet
