  • I remember one year someone brought their little one trick or treating. The dad was holding her in his arms and when I came out with the bowl of candy, she practically did a head dive into it.

Personally, I find it super adorable to see babies dressed up. However, I would recommend offering to take a neighbor's or relative's child trick or treating so you can show off your baby without it being awkward.
  • I've decided instead of a costume (which she'd be trying to wiggle out of all night), I'll just buy her a cute "halloween outfit". I'm going to take her to the pumpkin patch for pictures. Maybe we'll have a family get together and just watch scary movies and pig out on sugar all night. Besides, it may be a little too cold to get her out.
    Thanks for all your advice!
  • I got my son a costume that's basically a nice warm and cozy sleeper with the face on the top of the forehead, built into the hood. He can't wiggle out of it and it will keep him warm while out on the porch.
  • i just wanted to mention that last year my son was 2 weeks old and we took him to the mall (it was way to cold outside for him) But my daugter was 2 1/2 otherwise Tommy and I would have handed out candy. This year we are taking both kids out (probably to the mall again).
