Wife Swap

  • Did anyone watch Wife Swap last night? They had an overweight couple and the wives were swapped out to a husband and wife team of personal trainers.Obviously, for ratings, they pick the lifestyles that will collide the most. The husband was a drill sergeant in the Army and now trains the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders among other personal training, I guess. They are self admitted fitness freaks. I ended up TOTALLY hating the overweight wife. IMHO she gives fat people a bad name. Just infuriating! I just wondered if anyone else watched it. I felt so sorry for her overweight and truly taken advantage of, husband. Poor guy.
  • I didn't see it but I would like to...do they air it again any time soon?
  • I did, I did!
I just typed a whole page, and my server booted me out.

I'll try to capture my rambling once again.

My husband and I watched it. We could not believe how unmotivated, lazy, and insensitve she was. She was always saying she was sick or not feeling well. I felt so sorry for her husband. I can't believe she has that much control over him and that much control in the marriage that he couldn't work as a DJ even after they offered him a job. The home business can't keep both of them that busy that he couldn't do it. I feel the husband is trapped and doesn't want to get out at this point.

As far as the Drill Srgt. what an Alpha male. I need someone like that to kick my butt in shape. Think we could get a group of us together and hire him for a week. lol
  • I watched it. OMG where do I begin? For a lady who complained she didn't feel well all the time she had no problems eating all the foods she was eating. Her poor husband. I felt so bad for him. He is so overweight and you can tell he wanted to change his ways and get healthy. He'll never do it with her around. Was I the only one who noticed how much he seemed to like the positive attention of his "new wife"? I couldn't imagine how it would feel to be in a marriage that is sooooo controlling and seemed so loveless. So sad that his only hope to live to see his kids grow up is to leave her.
  • All I could think was...I want to do a swap just to get a trainer!

Better yet, lets just have the woman from the trainer couple (not the man...he was a little too intimidating for me) move in with me for 2 weeks.

I hated the bigger woman SO MUCH. It was the first time that I think someone just totally rejected the entire experience and was a pain to everyone involved.
  • I was just ready to bop that larger lady. Egad. What a control freak! One word came to mind---manipulator. I felt bad for her hubby, too. Poor guy. Did you see how excited he was to have the opportunity to go back to the radio station, only to not due it because of his wife? I did, though, want to scream at him and tell to put her in her place! Talk about a dog with his tail between his legs!
  • Yeah, I saw it...for the second time, it was a repeat. But ya...that woman was an idiot. She didn't want to go in the meeting at the end because she lied and didn't want to look like an a$$. I can't believe that her husband wouldn't stand up to her and didn't take the DJ job, sad, very sad. I watch it every week and it kills me the men catering to these women. Last week was horrible. That woman came home from work, went up to her room and stayed there expecting to be waited on hand and foot. UGH! I despise men like that...that won't stand up for themselves and let the woman walk all over them.
  • I wish I saw it!
  • I watched it, too. Sadly, the overweight couple didn't get anything out of the experience. Except maybe the money they were paid to do the show.
  • I thought the overweight woman had major anger problems, also she was very immature. How silly to sit in your car and NOT come out, because you don't get your way, give me a break, her husband looked like a sweety and would be better off without her. She has control problems...
