I really wish we had a rant section!

Here is my rant that has upset me today.
My sister had her baby 3 months early; so she is about 400 miles away from home. She is staying in the Ronald McDonald home until the baby can come home.
Well she has been telling everyone she "may" get a ride with someone back to her city. She wants to come home for a few days to get things paid.
(she has a husband to do that so i dont know why she needed to come home?)
Anyways EVERYONE has been trying to contact her since yesterday morning.
She never called, never told anyone what was going on, never told the MacDonald home what was going on. She just disappeared.
My father called he husband last night and he hasent heard anything.
All day NOTHING.
I have been worried out of my mind that something was wrong! The hospital is in a VERY BAD DRUG neighborhood, we didnt know if she was kidnapped.
i was truly worried.
I call my dad this morning and still nothing. No call, No sister.
Her cell phone has no money or a cell phone, but I gave her my number to call collect. I wanted to talk to Dad and her husband, if still nothing I was going to call the police.
I called my dad at 4.40 this afternoon and he said she was home. She called him a hour ago. I asked my dad if he yelled at her. He screamed "NO."
I was just appalled that no one would be worried of even think about giving her a "screaming session" about her lack of ~adultness~.
I just started to cry when i found out she was home!
I mean does she think that all this is funny!
I dont even want to talk to her! my dad says she can call me on his phone.
but I will not answer! I am just so angryand dont want to talk to anyone. .

I am sorry you had to go through that, my daughter dropped her 2 babies on our door step 15 years ago and we didn't hear from her for 7 months. that was a cruel thing to do to her family. She must be very young to pull such a stunt. cool off then set her staight. Where was she anyways?

Do you think it could be post-partum depression? Or fear because of having a baby so early?

I would guess that she's been going through a good deal of stress having a baby in the hospital and being 400 miles away from home. Like your Dad, I certainly wouldn't have yelled at her either. I can't imagine that she would think any of the situation funny.....

I would take it easy on her, she just had a baby and maybe her hormones are a little out of whack, heck knows mine were after I had my first baby. My husband had no idea what was going on because all he had to say was, "don't you remember before we had a baby" or anything referring to the past and I was mess of tears. Sounds like she is young, lonely being 400 miles from home and having no baby to hold can be hard on a new mom, so talk to her, offer some support and LOVE!!! No screaming or yelling it will just make her more upset/mad.

OMG I was so wacky after my Dd was born, I cried at everything and everyone only to learn afew weeks later I had post partum depression. Its so hard when your emotions are running rampid and you don't understand whats happening. What stinks is this feeling can go on for months and months.

Snowbunny I understand your very upset, I would be too but try to understand your sister's end of it. Some times we get so scared that those scared feelings turn to anger. Hang in there !!! I'm so glad your sisters is okay.
