Oh I forgot to add that garage sales and second hand stores are great places to find childrens story books, book shelves and chairs. Sometimes they are great shape, sometimes all you need is some paint and furniture covers. Good luck.

Wow, I'm so thrilled with all of the responses!! Linds 81, you are just as much a teacher as anyone--we couldn't do anything without our paraprofessionals. At the school I'm at they do all the "grunt work"--changing diapers, tube feeding, etc. You deserve a medal!

Whew!!!! Heard that chica!!! People can be rude, even those we expect to be true professionals. I have seen it many times, and unfortunately I have become more the type to get real gritty and abrasive when people get that way with me.
