Reactive lymph nodes (post infection) can last up to 6 weeks after an illness. I'm glad you're seeing a doctor, but you don't need to be freaking out, expecially with no other symptoms such as fevers, night sweats. Hope it works out for you.

No, no drainage. But you indicated you've had a cold recently, so maybe that explains the drainage.

Thanks, again, everyone. And it's funny the tooth thing is mentioned, I just had one pulled last Monday. However, the tooth that was pulled is on the opposite side from the lump.

I've had a small node in my neck since I was a kid (25+ years now). Multiple doctors over the years have said as long as it's small, moveable, etc etc etc it's nothing to worry about. Probably a remnant of a childhood illness. I am pretty sure if it turned out to be bad I would have known it by now. :P

A friend of mine had a lump exactly where you do. It turned out to just be a cyst, and was drained no problem.

I hope everything went OK for you at your Doctor's app.!
