Soda....and I hate the way they all taste so I don't drink them.

same here..also in Tennessee...we call it "coke" not soda or pop. Since I have started making "healthy choices" I do not drink any type. I drink unsweetened ice tea and sf crystal light...that is it...

usually i just call sodas by the brand name i'm referring to. but if not, then soda. but i usually drink diet pepsi if i am going to have some kind of soda.. peach fresca if i am in the mood. calorie soda is gross.. it's so sweet! diet coke is gross too unless there are a few lemon wedges in it. maybe i am just picky.

Around here it's pop...until I married my husband! Now everytime I ask for pop, his reply is always "I'll give you a pop!" ;) So I've had to learn to ask for a soda hehehe If I'm drinking fully-leaded it is either coke, pepsi or mt dew. Very rarely anything else. If dieting, like now, I usually don't drink it, or I drink Diet Pepsi. Can't stand anything else diet. :p And, don't ask me to drink Dr. Pepper either! :barf: my dh LOVES Dr. Pepper.

I've noticed that if you drink Dr. Pepper you normally don't like Mt. Dew (all my friends growing up were this way, and so is my husband)
-or- if you drink Mt. Dew (like me) you can't stand Dr. Pepper. Anyone else this way or notice this of their friends?

I'm from the south and here we call every type of soda coke! :shrug:

Now that I think of it, I usually call it Cokes, or drink... like i'm going down to the basement, do you want a drink... My grandmother calls them canned drinks. I guess my family is weird.

And I love my Diet Coke. I'm picky. If i'm in a restaurant, I'll ask if it's coke or pepsi, and if it's diet pepsi, i'll get gingerale.

I'm from the South and I mainly hear "soda" or "coke" the most but occasionally "soda pop". I say soda.. and I usually drink a diet off brand at home and regular pepsi or coke when out.

When I lived in Wisconsin, it was "pop"
Now that I live in Florida, I am more inclined to call it "soda"

I used to hate any kind of diet. But I love Jones diet cola. Their black cherry is good, too. I tried Hansen's diet root beer, too and that was pretty good. I also really like Waist Watchers diet vanilla cream. If I am at a store that doesn't carry either of those, I buy Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper.

Diet Coke or Pepsi is only as a last resort. ( in most cases, I would just have water if it was available ice cold.)

I call it soda and I (used to) love to drink TAB!

It's a Coca Cola product that has been around since the beginning of diet sodas. I find that not too many people know about it or like the taste.

I used to drink at least a six pack a day, but now I rarely buy it. It's a special treat.

I drink Coke Zero, Diet Coke or diet caff. free Dr. Pepper.

I call it softdrink. Since starting to lose weight I hardly drank any as I hate the taste of diet drinks. But lately I have found an American import store that sells Diet Barq's which I find acceptable and Australia just introduced Coke Zero here which I like alot more than Diet Coke, so I guess Coke Zero is my new staple since the import store is expensive ;)

In my house we call it 'fizz' - but I think thats a family thing. Most people call it pop or by the name of whatever it is.

My favourite is diet tonic with lime or diet ginger beer. I'm not very fond of sweet drinks.

Definitely called pop here. But I don't drink it any more, haven't you heard? It's not good for you :)
