Fat Husbands....

  • I don't see too many men posting on this site. Anyone else join because their wife was a member and sounded like she was having too much fun? Anyway, CynthiaB is my wife, and I am very proud of the fact that she has lost nearly 30 pounds. We both started losing weight together and I have dropped from 252 to around 226. I hope to hit 200 by next Spring!

Any other fat husbands out there? Women are, of course, free to post as well...
  • Welcome to the boards Mistertripps! There are a few other men around that I have seen. I wish my hubby would get on here! He is around 270 and needs to get to 200. He talks about it alot but that's about it! I started at 272 and will soon hit 50# gone!!
I wish continued success to you and your wife!!
  • Welcome MisterTripps, There are a few guys here. Howie is one, I think he posts on the 100 lb board and there's Herb who ususally lurks but posts on Low Carb and other places once in a while. Slimmings also posts, I think on the exercise threads or UK, can't remember but I know I've seen a few men here lol.

  • Hey Mistertripps,

There are a few of use men looming around the boards. As Leenie mentioned, Howie & Herb and myself are on the 100lb board.

Congrats on the weightloss and a little more testosterone is always welcome
  • Thanks all! Looks like a cool place to hang out...
  • Great job on the weight loss mistertripps!!! I too have see a couple of men on the board. My hubby also should be on but work is currently taking up too much time. He started his weight loss at 325 and is now down to 290 but is aiming for 270 by the summer. I think I will have to tell him to visit this site more often. Good luck!
  • Thanks upswife - it is amazing how much better I feel since I decided to make a change. I was an athlete through college and just didn't realize how far down the ladder I had fallen until I saw some pictures of myself coaching my son's baseball team last Spring. It has really been rather simple - I cut out soft drinks, cut back on portions and began exercising more regularly. Nothing special, just paying more attention to what went in my body. I have no doubt that I will reach my goal weight of 200 lbs by next Spring and no one at the ball park will recognize me!!
