Hello, i thought i'd start a thread of poetry, feel free to critique, smile, frown or post your own poetry in response to that of others. Since our journey's are treacherous we can surely write of them. Please do respect others poetry as it is a gateway to one's soul...

the cycles of womanhood
tightly wound
up then down
like a yoyo
we can do tricks
or be lit
depending on the finger
we are wrapped around

Why does no one respond to a poetry post? Are there no poets out there? Does anyone have a creative writing bone in their body? If so let your voice be heard.

weigh day
i weigh myself secretly
naked onto the scale
i step naseausly
without a sound
the dial shows each pound
and i vow to take each bite

Oh we have lots of creative writers, but maybe just not in the poetic sense.

I write, but I feel like my poems are more private than even my journal! Very personal stuff!
