Default Grad School excitement and a question!

Back in January, I completed and submitted my application to the University of South Carolina's graduate school program to get my MLIS (Master of Library Science) and become a school media specialist. I still haven't gotten anything official about my decision other than a card back in March stating that they received my application and would let me know their decision ASAP, within due time to register for classes. The deadline to complete applications WAS March 15, but they had since extended it to April 15, and well, maybe I'm impatient, but I'd submitted my application in January and it's 4 days after the completion deadline -- I would've thought I would've heard or seen SOMETHING by now.

So 2 weeks ago, I emailed the admissions coordinator for my department, asking her how long it usually took for prospective students to be notified about their decision, and she told me that decisions were mailed out in the order of application completion and that it would take possibly three weeks. Well, since it's been well over three weeks and I still hadn't heard anything, I emailed her again and asked her specifically about my own application, to which she told me this morning that she had actually admitted me to the program, and all that was left was for her to send her recommendation to the graduate school and that she would do that today. So... does that mean I'm in? Or just there's a good chance that I'm in?

I figured those of you who are in the world of academia might have an idea.

You're definitely in unless you don't meet any basic university requirements like gpa or bachelors degree
Yay!! This is super exciting! Enjoy the feeling of getting in!

yup, as others have said, it's just an administrative formality at this stage. As long as there's not something blatantly disqualifying about your application (which there isn't, because if there were you wouldn't have been admitted :-)) you're in! congratulations!!!

Yes, you're in barring some major issue in your records that would disqualify you. Congratulations!

Well in that case...

I GET TO BE A FREAKIN STUDENT AGAIN! Woooo! I've missed college. I really have, lol. Is that weird?

I don't think it's weird. I really enjoyed my bachelors degree and got a whole bunch of minors to go with my major basically just because I enjoyed the subjects.

My graduate degree is kind of a different story though, while I like what I'll be studying (elementary Ed.) I kind of just wish I could fast forward through it so that I could make more money lol.
