The Rockies are in Arizona. I guess it is cold there with some snow, so they're not sure they'll be able to play on Saturday. Hmm. Winter is holding on.
LOVE PEDRO! It's funny, when he played in Boston, the media made him out to be a prima donna. I have to say, in all the interviews I have heard him in since then, is that he is a baseball gem; smart, insightful, positive, and has lots to offer these pitchers. I am SO excited!
"In short, the record shows that there is only one Evil Empire in baseball and it is the New York Yankees," wrote the judges. "Accordingly, we find that [the Yankees] have a protectable trademark right in the term . . . as used in connection with baseball."
The article continues:
In fact, it was Boston Red Sox CEO Larry Lucchino who coined it back in 2002 after New York signed Jose Contreras out from underneath them.
Now from the mouth of a judge it's OK to hate the Yankees, LOL.
So Diane I'm hearing rumours about Tulo. In fact I just read an article about the Cards and Rockies talking.
That's an awful big contract he has. I know there may be a trade that could be worked out. Not sure about this.
What are you hearing?
I totally missed this before. Sorry. There's a lot of talk about trading one of the big players so that they could get some pitching. They've also mentioned Cargo. I don't like that. We still need our hitters. I just wish the ownership felt like paying some bucks for some new players.
I guess that's part of the reason I haven't been talking here much. I'm not excited. It seems like the Rocks are not moving forward.
