what's your favorite thing to do for date night with your SO? DH and I want to do something Saturday, he wants to do the norm and go see a movie....I don't want to because I just started this week on the healthy eating and we are doing South Beach and are on phase 1. I don't want to tempt myself that much!!! Popcorn is a huge downfall for me! And a no no for phase 1! Anyway, what are some of your cheap but fun date nights? Can't be too long of a night either due to having to pay for a babysitter for the kids. Thanks!

How about bowling? It's not a super long activity - with two people you can usually get in a few games in an hour. And it's active!

We don't have kids at home anymore so Wii Zumba is one of our favorite things to do. Tonight we are having make your own pizza first.

Our town also has gallery walk fridays and pubs without a door charge. That gets risky because I always want a glass of wine and nibbles.

Sitter? Kids? Get an hourly motel room!

Haha! All I would be thinking about is how clean (read: not clean) everything was.

That said, when my mom keeps our kids, we go shopping. It's nice to not be rushed. Otherwise we go to a non-kid restaurant or a regular movie theater. We only go to the drive in with the kids because their noise doesn't bother anyone and we can keep them contained.

My husband and I aren't super outgoing but when we do go out we enjoy:

- playing pool
- going to watch a hockey or football game live or at a pub (worried about nibbles? fresh veggies and fruit are awesome healthy appies and almost every restaurant has them!)
- take a fitness class together
- go ice skating or swimming
- go for coffee or tea at a place you've never been to before
