It is! We went for an hour long walk with my dog and her kids and then I made a healthy lunch for all of us. I think it was good for her to realize that just doing one or two things differently in her day can relieve a lot of stress, tension and help her outlook on things.

I'm not going to offer an opinion, just a story of my own, and maybe that will provide a different point of view.
I had a friend at my last job that weighed about 350. I was 225, 100 lbs overweight. And yet I was not allowed to discuss my weight, or my diet, or my health woes related to those things with her because she would just give me that sideways look and tell me I had no room to talk because she only wished she had my "weight problem". In other words, she saw me as being this skinny thing in comparison to her and so I had no right to say I was fat or to try and discuss the diet I was trying or the exercise or my body image issues or anything like that because she was fatter than I was. It's easy to get irritated with people you think have it better than you or who are skinnier or whatever but it doesn't mean they don't have their own issues. |
Why does if hurt your feelings? I have a friend who is like 95lbs, she is small and has always been. She has plenty of "big" friends and skinny ones too... Anyhow, she is always posting pictures of things she eats (and they are delicious lol) should I get mad at her for doing that??? That's the way they are.
Just tell her something like "lucky you" or "remember that it will all go to your tights" lol have fun with it and never let little things bother you that much ;) |

And whose to say she doesn't have her own hang ups about her health? I hate how people want to always see the negative... Especially in people who are naturally thin. That's jealousy at it's finest.
To thge OP: glad you confronted her to let you know how it made you feel. Now you two can be there for each other through your lifestyle changes. |
re:
It sounds like you handled it well.
I'm a big fan of confronting people with things that may be bothering you instead of the wondering and possibly a completely wrong analysis of what they MAY be thinking. |
