I hated Dovekeepers too!

Here's my current Good Reads list. I've read a couple of real clunkers lately, the last good book was: The Light Between Oceans. I don't recomend it for pregnant women (like myself). I sobbed the entire end of the book.

I just read "Why We Get Fat" by Gary Taubes last week. It was super interesting! There was a lot of information that was interpreted the way he wanted to interpret it, but still a lot of science about how our bodies respond to insulin and why our "Western Diet" is harmful for a lot of people.

I'm curious about The Dog Stars--let me know how you like it.

Haven't read any books lately, but for the last few years I've been constantly reading stuff on a fanfiction site - there are so many good stories and writers. I guess it amounts to about 3-4 books a month.

Read Gone Girl - couldn't put it down. Chock full of opinions, but they're all plot revealing.

Me, too, Bill. I can't wait each day to get home so I can read for an hour or so before dinner! (And then I silently hope there is nothing on TV so I can read after dinner, too!)

Yes, it was okay. It was like a kinder, gentler, The Road. I am an absolute nut for post apocalyptic stuff and I wanted more...something, I don't know. But it was definitely okay!

Gone Girl was definitely my favorite book of the year.

I just finished Gone Girl. Wow. I actually finished it at work this morning--brought it up on the cloud reader and spent the past two hours reading (and answering phones from time to time). Time to really get to work!

Now I don't know what I should read. I've downloaded a couple dozen in the past few weeks and I have an Amazon Prime membership so I can get just about any book free in the library. Any suggestions anyone?

Great book! We read that in one of my philosophy classes that dealt with the medical aspect of philosophy, specifically with things like euthanasia, major medical decisions with families who have religious obligations, etc. I really enjoyed The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat.

As for me I am reading The Five Love Languages and The Red Tent.

Interesting. I didn't much like Gone Girl. I thought the ending was a cop out and it left me feeling kind of eh...

LOVED The Light Between Oceans.

I am reading the first in the Vampire Academy series, doubt I will read anymore of the series, unless the rest of the book gets really good. Not sure what I will read next, but I am waiting for the last book in the Hush Hus series to come out next month. Yes, I am grown adult who likes to read YA books, lol.

Some of my recent reads, have been Divergent and Insurgent(loved these), Glimpse, Bound, The Mating(not YA), Forbidden and Embrace

Granted the ending wasn't the greatest, but the rest was good.

The Big Four by Agatha Christie... I'm on a binge. So far this month I've read Death on the Nile, The Hollow, and Appointment With Death all by her :)
