Default Just did my first 15 hr work day

And I'm so $%#%#(& tired. I literally stand the whole time.

And I have a sinus infection.

From 6:45am to 3pm I build AC and DC motors for lift trucks. From 4-9 I work at a gas station/convenience store/liquor store/drive-thru/restaurant.

I want to freaking CRY because my legs, back and head are killing me. I need both jobs, actually, I need at least 1 more additional one but there's no way.

I'm just whining, folks. It's time for me to take some cold medicine and pass out in bed.

You should invest in some really good walking shoes. I had to buy a pair for my nursing classes because we had to be on our feet for our clinicals and my lower back and feet were killing me by the end of the day and that wasn't even the full 12 hour shifts that some nurses do.

I hope you feel better tomorrow after you get some rest. Maybe you're body needs to get used to the 15 hours.

If you don't already have them at either job ask about relief/fatigue mats. They can help as well, especially if you are somewhat stationary for periods of time.

15 hour days suck, that's for sure. I hope you feel better today!

How I don't miss those days. Where I used to work, I'd have 12 hour days regularly. 12pm - 2am. I remember working 27 hours in two days. It was horrible. I do hope you have gotten plenty of rest and are feeling better.

Aw man, that is so hard! I remember (I think) one of your posts saying your bf or husband was layed off? Can he try to find a part time gig?

Tiff, I'm divorced. The ex wasn't ordered to pay support. He quit his job and didn't get another until after the divorce was final. I actually owed him support (we have shared/50-50 custody) but he waived it.

I'm feeling a lot better. I did another 15 hour shift, so that's 30hrs of work in 2 days. I made sure to take some cold meds before both shifts and I moved my work insoles from my work boots to my sneakers, so my legs don't hurt as bad.

I'm sure I'll get used to it. Thankfully my trainer is pretty sympathetic, and lets me sit during breaks (usually they eat behind the counter because there's rarely time to actually take a break between customers). So I'm sure I'll live.

I don't know how much money you make at both jobs, but my husband and I got paper routes. We have 2 routes and we make 500/week. I also have another job and I am a full time grad student. I work roughly 25 hours a week on the route. I am completely exhausted, but this works so much better than having two consecutive jobs.
