Calling All Animal Lovers! Urgent!

  • Hi everyone,
As some of you know, I'm working as a vet assistant. A few days ago one of my regular patients who everyone in the hospital has grown to love very much came in with two fractured legs after being hit by a car. Her owner can't afford the surgery and is surrendering her to a rescue if we as a hospital can raise $3,000 in one week for her surgery. All I ask is that if you have a place in your heart for pets, that you share this link with anyone who would like to make a donation or may know someone who would to help Steve! We are trying to get a car wash/pet wash going for her on Friday and I have called and emailed over 100 rescues today to see if they could help at all!
    Thank you!!!!

  • So sad! Definitely thinking of you all. My dog went through chemo for meningitis when she was two years old and without my parents help I would never have been able to pay off the bills! I just chipped in $25. Let us know what happens!
  • Awwwww

We just got an english bulldog puppy and he had an upper respiratory infection that turned into pneumonia. Vet bills up the YANG hole.

    I'll pitch in too.....
  • I pitched in and shared this on any forum or social network I could. Keep us posted on what happens!
  • I posted this on my Facebook.
  • I chipped in a bit and posted on FB.
  • Thank you so so so so so much everyone! I am crying, I am so happy that so many people are willing to help our sweet baby! You are all so generous! Thank you for chipping in and reposting this for me. Steve and I appreciate it GREATLY! Also, good news, we found someone to foster her and take care of all her after surgery medical bills with rehabilitation!!!! She is doing very well. Today I was at work and I thought to myself, I won't latch her kennel since it's on the floor and she's not going anywhere. Well lo and behold I walked in 3 minutes later and she was laying on the floor 10 feet from her kennel. She has such a strong will to live, it's amazing. I have actually raised $665 of the $3000 we need in 24 hours so far. We have until Monday before her legs start to re-set themselves. We're also trying to find a doctor to do the surgery for a little cheaper. We are doing every single thing we can to try and help her! She is such a good dog! This is her when we wrapped her legs the first time!
  • Just wanted to give you all a GREAT update on Steve! We've found someone to do the surgery for $1600 instead of $3000 and we're half way there!
I bought her a piggy toy yesterday and we got her to pee and poop before I left work last night, her poor little bladder was full. She was full of kisses and I gave her a milkbone from everyone. She got plenty of lovins yesterday. I'm going to try to go in today to get some good photos of her with my camera so I can give them out to local businesses to take up donations from anyone and everyone they can. We have until Monday before her legs start to re-set themselves.
  • Have you tried calling local radio stations to get the word out?
