Most of the rules aren't new, but it's nice to have everything together in one place so they are easy to memorize and follow.
I read the book last week and followed his meal plan since last Saturday (my grocery day). I've had fish and cauliflower and all sorts of veggies and definitely feel better and have lost three pounds.
I probably would have lost more weight, but had an old injury act up to the point where I could hardly move around for a few days. I'm back on track with exercise now that the pain is gone.
The best thing about his plan and tips is that I have not been hungry during the day. I'm an emotional eater, a stay at home mom with a special needs toddler and am very stressed. The plan had me full and I did not have any cravings all week.
We have multiple allergies in this household and I can not eat gluten, but I was able to follow along just fine. I don't allow nuts in the house (deadly to my son), so I just don't do that part of the meal plan. I use Udi's flax or chia breads when Bob has a slice of bread or toast in the meal plan.
My husband ate the dinners and started eating oatmeal in the mornings. He's lost 5 pounds and says he feels better. He only weighs 178 pounds, so doesn't have much to lose.
