1996-That was the last time I had dressed up for Halloween. I remember I was in 9th grade. My friends and I dress up as "Little Girls" because we were 15, and we wanted to look "young" for Halloween. No worries, we didn't go trick or treating, it was for a party. The rest of highschool I felt too "old" to participate in Halloween festivities so I never dressed up again.
Fast forward to my early 20's. From 2000-2009 I gained a whopping 140 lbs from highschool. 140! That's a WHOLE person! I had a daughter, and of course she wanted to dress up for Halloween, and participate in everything. I remember seeing all the other moms at her school, or parties, or functions throughout the years dressed up, looking good, feeling confident. Then there was me. Those who know me here, may have read my goal story. If not, you can find it here:

Deep down, I always wanted to participate in dressing up. But I was too overweight to do so. And last year, I was 8 months pregnant for Halloween, so other than being Juno or a pregnant teenager (yep, lots of people asked me if i was supposed to be a pregnant teenager) I couldn't participate. Until this year!
For 15 years, I secretely wanted to fall into the excitment of "pretend" and be something else. I went through 4 different costumes, and finally decided on one I was satisfied with that wasn't too "revealing" or tight, or short, or just plain inappropriate!
Below, I share with you my halloween costume. And I'm also including a before as well for comparison. Thanks for reading, and thanks for all the support I continue to recieve here! You all ARE the best!
