Hi all! I didn't disappear JUST because the rockies are struggling. It's been a hectic summer.

Just wanted to drop in and say hi!

I continue to find it difficult to concentrate on baseball out on the field.

For example, today the news is that one Frank McCourt will not be allowed to leverage a team called Los Angeles Dodgers to pay out to attorneys, his ex (or soon to be ex) wife, and himself by selling the future of his team to a hedge fund.

What's the purpose of owning a Major League Baseball team if you can't bleed it to near death on occasion? Why bother being rich if you can't flaunt it?

We are playing the Pirates in Pittsburgh.

The place is packed tonight. It's good to see.

What is the etiquette for leaving a game before it's finished? I'm not much of a fan at 2:30 in the morning.

I have never left a game before it's finished.

Then again I've never been at a game that goes to 2.30 in the morning.

I hate it when fans start leaving in the 7th inning. It ain't over until the fat lady sings.

Doesn't matter how hot or cold.

It always seems to get going at a real crucial time in the game.

I wonder what the players think?

Well our bullpen is much improved after the trade yesterday.

I'm sure Rasmus and LaRussa are happier too.
