I've always envied Shakira's body. IMO she was curvy but fit and healthy and worked it so well. She's recently lost weight for her new video that just came out (it's called Loco, if you guys want to look it up) and she lost SOOOOO much weight! She doesn't even look the same. Her hips are gone!
I hope that this is something she has done to be more comfortable in her body, rather than something for publicity or because she feels like she has to.

Is it OnDemand yet? I love Shakira + will have to watch the video. I know one of the best bods in a video was that Shewolf one she did not too long ago + I saw her get interviewed for it. She said she was on a diet of spinach + salmon. Sounds yummy to me!

yeah i see what you mean. You could see her ribs a lot and I've never seen her ribs stick out like that. She might still be in an ok bmi range but she was right "the hips don't lie."
I think only she knows why she decided to lose weight. Maybe she feels better now? And I don't think it's up to any of us to judge if she's "too thin." If she feels good and is healthy, more power to her. I think she looks fine - just a smaller version of her "old" self.

To each their own. She's beautiful and I hope her dieting never hurts her body. My hope is that when people drop weight like that, they do it with a nutritionist and healthfully.

Which is why I said that I hope she's done it to feel better about herself. I don't think it's wrong to express our opinions about it. I don't think I've seen anyone say that she looks bad. We all have differing opinions on what we view as attractive, and I think it's interesting to see how we view weight gain/loss in relation to attractiveness, especially when it comes to someone who is obviously so naturally beautiful (and would be beautiful at any weight, IMO).

I don't think it's wrong to express our opinions about it. I don't think I've seen anyone say that she looks bad. We all have differing opinions on what we view as attractive, and I think it's interesting to see how we view weight gain/loss in relation to attractiveness, especially when it comes to someone who is obviously so naturally beautiful (and would be beautiful at any weight, IMO).
