  • Quote: i just finished reading the vampire academy series.. i must say iy was very good. im just upset that i must wait for the last book.. lol

now i am waiting for the house of night series.. i ordered it from the library so that is what will keep me busy this week.

as you can tell im into the whole vampire world.. lol
The House of Night books are pretty good.

If you like the vampire books, try Evermore! I think there are currently two or three in the series at this point.
  • Hey, everyone! I'm reading "I Am Charlotte Simmons" by Tom Wolfe. It's radically different from his successes (The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test, The Right Stuff, Bonfire of the Vanities), but I'm enjoying it so far. We'll see how it goes.
  • Accidentally Dead-Dakota Cassidy
    Master Your Metabolism -Jillian Michaels
    Skinny Dip- Karl Hiaasen
  • Quote: I'm reading Open by Andre Agassi and the Four Day Win (someone on here said it was good so I decided to read it) - both are very good!
    I llllloooooooovvedd Agassi's book!
  • Just finished Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Adored his lush prose - great story if you can get over the fact that the protagonist is kind of a creeper.

Now reading Forget Me Not by Jennifer Anker and The Gulag Archipelago by some Russian dude whose name I can't pronounce, let alone spell. (Reading the latter on a recommendation from my cousin...but I'm thinking it might be too intense for summer reading...LoL!)

    Alexander Solzhenitsyn

I'm about halfway through Absolute Power, and my Jilly Cooper book finally arrived: it looks every bit as door-stopping as anything Solzhenitsyn ever wrote, but must be infinitely more fun to read
  • I know this seems fairly cheesy, but I'm making my way through Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling. I seriously love this series, partly for the fact that it's an easy read (something I can pick up when I'm getting ready for bed and not very conscious) and the author goes to extreme lengths to describe the world of the wizards. It's very realistic, I think.

But, anyway. I started with the first book at the beginning of the week and just made it to the third book the other day. When I first read the series, I only made it to the 4th book, so I'm eager to go beyond that this time.
  • Earlier in the week I finished The Help and have started The Secret Life of CeeCee Wilkes.

So far so good and I really enjoyed The Help.

I have the book series but have yet to start them. I will get to them one day, I am sure
  • About the Harry Potter books, nothing cheesy about them at all. I've read them, and at some point I'd like to read them again.
  • Quote: The Third Twin - Ken Follett, and after that I'll start on the second book in Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series.

A good book and a cup of ginger tea keeps my mind (and my wanna-snack hands) occupied before bed!
I loved the Outlander books! Well, the first four... after that, the story dragged on too much for me

I'm finishing up "Born to Run," which is an excellent book, and very motivating (I find myself googling "tarahumara" and "how to run barefoot" way too much!)

Also, I hope my amazon order comes in tomorrow, with "Shanghai Girls" by Lisa See, "In Defense of Food" by Michael Pollan, and "Sweet Dates in Basra" by Jessica Jiji.

Looks like I'm all set for the next... two weeks or so
  • just finished book 2 of house of night and on to book 3.. loving it so far..
