I totally agree with this. Both my parents have passed and I can hold some comfort in the fact that I spent as much time with them as I could and did any and everything I was able to for them both.

In all of this that you are doing PLEASE make sure you also take care of yourself. Remember, on airplanes the flight attendants tell you to put on your OWN mask before you put on others. My dad has COPD and it's scary for him whenever he gets ill so perhaps your sister is also afraid, possibly even lonely. However, you were in the place you needed to be - with your mother. Pray for them both, take your sisters comments with a grain of salt and TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!!!!!!!

I don't know what how your sister talked to you, it may have been completely out of line. And I agree you're stuck where you are and can't go out. But it's also terrible that she had to take herself home in a taxi from being in the hospital with pneumonia. Not that you could do anything about it. But wow, I can see how she felt awful, probably both very sad and also terrified, about not having the support she needed.
