  • IHOPs are new to your area? Huh? My friend and I used to go to IHOP and one of my favorite things was their hash browns. I'd sprinkle tabasco on liberally and eat.

We live about half a mile from one and my husband and I have never been there. Honestly, I think their food is subpar but if you want to hang out some where at 11pm at night (or 1am), there aren't a lot of choices.

You talkin' to me? You know they are not new to my area...we have the one on O'side Blvd. that has been there forever and the one off Sycamore that has been there a long time...where Angie and I cheap dated 15 years ago with coupons. This one is between College and Melrose....3/4 mile from me! You know the area

Haven't eaten at one in years just was wondering if the dinners were decent enough to bother trying.

Yes, that is what I was trying to figure out. The one on Oceanside Blvd is the one we used to go hang out at. I figure if you liked IHOP then there are ones near you that you could've gone to. When we go out to eat on the weekends, it isn't unusual for us to drive up to an hour to go to a place to eat that we like
  • oh man. these girls were at iHop and decided they wanted to skip out without paying. They took off for the car, tried to get away and ended up crashing their car INTO THE BUILDING. In fact they ended up driving through the window that was right next to where they were sitting. The bill was about 28. The driver had about 200 on her. Unbelievable.

I've stopped going to iHop. Something about having to submit to having my purse and body searched for weaponry makes even a rooty-tooty fresh and fruity no fun at all.
  • Quote: I was TOTALLY horrified the first time I heard about this pancake batter/omelet Frankenstein combination. It is the perfect example about how hard it can be to be diligent when you eat out. Read the fine print---if you're lucky there is fine print. If you're not, it's a big gamble and even when we have a clue about good nutrition, heaven only knows WTH they're adding to supposed "healthy fare" in the back.

The local IHOP is poorly run and I think a little gross.
I've eaten there twice and we ate at one traveling this summer.
I got a custom omelet with egg whites (I think) and veggies, but as is the usual occurrance with these orders---I could make it WAY yummier and probably healthier at home. For cheaper.
ACK! I'll bet that if you request that they leave it out, they won't. They make those things by rote.

I don't like pancakes, so I have to search all over that thing to manage to get something without pancakes. I think they are getting a bit pricey for the quality of food you get.
