Newbie Says Hello

  • Hello, I'm new here, thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Dusty, 50 year old male from The South San Francisco Bay Area. A few months ago I was taking a nice ride in an ambulence on my way to a little bypass surgery when one of the lady EMS people told me about Sugar Busters. She said that she had lost 100 pounds and completley got off of insuln. She said I should read it durring my recovery. I read it and it makes such perfect sense that I'm ready to try it. My only conceren is making the change. I am a 1st degree carbohydrate addict and a diabetic. Are there any tricks to surviving the change. Oh, did I add that if I don't lose weight I'm dead <g>? Any tips, tricks or advice welcome.

  • Hello and welcome to a great site!!
Congrats on choosing to lose, no matter the reason. There is a Sugar Buster's board here, it's chock full of advice and wise women, as well as the low carb forum, which is also full of advice and wise women, and some wise cracks too!

You shouldn't be scared because you are on the way to a brand new life, full of energy and good health, the doctors are going to be amazed at your progress! I'm excited for you, and want to wish you good luck!!
  • DUSTY, please come join us on the SB BOARDS here on the 3FC'S site-we'd love to help you out in any way possible. The link to our boards is below, just go to our current WEEKLY SUPPORT BOARD as this is where we post the most:
